I got to hear about MQ through my niece, who had sold her house in Newton Stewart and highly recommended them. We were selling my mother-in-law’s house, which had become too big for her. Things were really straightforward, hassle-free, even.
Barry came to see the house and it went on the market on the 14th of October and I had the money in my bank account before Christmas. Luckily, it was a cash buyer. Once the deal had been done, Preeya told me I could have the money in three weeks. I replied:”Really?” MQ provided an excellent service. My own house is in Fife, so if I ever go to sell it, I’ll be giving them a call.
Hassle-free, money in the bank within a month. Happy to recommend them.
Alan Kevan, selling a three-bed semi in Garlieston, Dumfries and Galloway.
“My plan was to sell the big family home, buy a smaller house, and retire from my job in the NHS. I put it on the market with MQ in August, despite my neighbour telling me it was the ‘worst possible time’ to try and sell a house. Well, MQ managed it alright.
Holly is a force to be reckoned with. If this girl can’t sell a house, no-one can. They really negotiate for you and keep you up-to-speed with everything that’s going on. The photographer, Mary, was lovely and Barry was very professional.
I felt they were my friends by the end of it. So much so, that I recommended them to the man who bought my place……and he’s using MQ's assisted move scheme now!”
Isabel O’Hanlon, selling a five-bed detached property in New Stevenstson, North Lanarkshire
I had one hot property to sell – my home was a former fire station. Everyone came in was taken aback by the scale of the place and agreed it had the wow! factor.
The huge window was once a big door, where the fire engines would go out on calls at Gartloch Hospital in Lanarkshire. One woman even wanted to buy all our furniture as well.
I was very happy with the service we got from MQ. Barry came out and explained what kind of price we might expect. In the end, we got over the Home Report valuation, which was nice.
Holly was on the phone all the time, keeping us up-to-date with everything. If I was asked for my views, I’d just tell them to get Barry out to your house and take it from there. I had absolutely no problems, whatsoever.”
Moira Gillespie, selling a former hospital fire station, converted to a luxury four bed home in Gartcosh, Lanarkshire
“We first met Barry when he was selling a property we were interested in last spring.
We didn’t buy it but when it came to selling our own place, later in the year, we remembered how professional he had been and his knowledge of the house. We asked MQ to sell our cottage flat but there were a few hiccups on the way – nothing to do with MQ.
The property we were buying had some issues to with the certification of historic cladding but it took Barry’s intervention to get it sorted out. Not only did he help sell our own place, he also helped the people who were selling to us.
We thought MQ were very good. There was no mucking about. It didn’t matter if we had a question to ask on a Monday morning or a Friday night – Holly and Preeya would be back to me in a flash.
The whole company is friendly and very professional, with no hidden costs. Our sale went through rapidly and we were delighted with the price we got. I’d happily recommend them, no problem.”
Susanne Gorman, selling a two-bed cottage flat in Knightswood, Glasgow
I got a good ‘vibe’ off Barry as soon as I met him.
I had spoken to a number of other estate agents, one of whom seemed completely disinterested in selling my home. I had Googled ‘estate agents Glasgow’ and MQ came up with really positive reviews.
Barry was very down to earth, a master of the personal touch. I decided I would feel more comfortable going with a family-run firm. The sale itself? Well, I can honestly say it went through very quickly! I was glad I wasn’t inundated with communications.
The photographs were organised and the listing went on within a matter of days.Preeya called me to say the first person who viewed the property wanted to make an offer – and that’s how it sold. I got what I was looking for, with the minimum of fuss. MQ do exactly what they say they will do. I’m renting now but if I ever go back into the property market, I hope I get to meet the MQ team again.
Peter, selling a one-bed flat in Glasgow’s Jordanhill.
I was so confident in MQ that I was happy to both buy and sell my house through them. The ‘buy’ side of things came when my partner and I bought a three-bed semi in Cumbernauld which MQ were selling. I was sufficiently impressed by their service that I asked Barry to come out to discuss selling the flat we were in. Everything was Hunky Dory. He’s a very pleasant man, very much on your level.
Other MQ staff were also very helpful. I dealt with Preeya, who was very friendly and Holly, who made me feel very comfortable. Overall? I’d give them a big thumbs-up. It’s the little things that count. We live in a cul-de-sac, so few people would be passing to notice the ‘For Sale’ sign in the garden. So MQ put it on the main road.
The flat went on the market and the very first person to see it, bought it. Now, I can’t wait to move in!
Fiona Cameron, selling an upper cottage flat in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire.
My brother and I went into the property market in 2006, buying a flat in Glasgow that we could rent out. It was a time of interest-free mortgages and we thought we could keep it a few years, sell it on and maybe make 10 per cent on our investment. It didn’t work out like that.
The property barely moved in value, in fact it was valued at less than the £95,000 we paid for it 15 years ago. When we decided to sell it, we got in touch with a few estate agents including one we favoured, who didn’t even get back to us. We liked the price we were quoted for going with MQ, the photos looked good and I liked Barry’s approach.
He was much more positive than the other estate agents we spoke to. Some were very negative about the property while Barry gave us more confidence that it would sell. The more I visited, the more I realised that it was actually a nice flat. We got a good number of viewers, too. And it sold for the price Barry said it would, which was more than the other quotes I got.
I would definitely recommend MQ.
Russell Anley, selling a two-bedroom modern flat in Bridgeton, Glasgow.
“Before we fled to MQ, we made a catastrophic error by choosing an online estate agency.
We had spoken to Barry beforehand but thought the market was booming and we reckoned our house would sell nomatter who was selling it.
How wrong were we? The agency mistakenly ‘reduced’ our property’s value by £20,000 – just one of a catalogue of calamities. I found myself repeatedly saying to my partner ‘we should have listened to Barry!’
When we decided to cut ties with our original agent there was absolutely no debate about who we wanted to represent us and we were straight on the phone to MQ! Luckily (despite us not picking them in the first place) they welcomed us with open arms.
I should have known MQ are great. I had previously rented a property from them and found them to be absolutely outstanding.
Our house was only on the market with them for a couple of weeks when our flat sold for a price we were delighted with. Holly is an absolute superstar. Brilliant to work with, she also has a sparkling personality which gave me great confidence. Everyone in the office was professional, friendly and did exactly what they said they would do.
If I could give them more than five stars out of five, I would.
If I ever hear of anyone I know selling a property, I now tell them ‘Look no further than MQ’.
Catriona Mundill, selling a three-bed flat in Glasgow’s New Gorbals.
“When you are considering using any kind of new service, it is generally the reviews most people look at first. I was in a neighbouring town when I saw a MQ billboard on a house they were selling.
When I got home, I took a look at their website ‘testimonials’ and was impressed with what I saw. I thought ‘that will do for me’.
Selling my house was made all the more difficult by the fact that I was in isolation during lockdown, due to my medical condition. But everyone at MQ was great. Barry, in particular, was very patient and took time to listen to me.
The property went on the market on the last Thursday in July, the first viewers were in on the Saturday and a sale was agreed four weeks later.
The price was more than I expected to get. If I phoned the MQ office and the person I wanted was not available, they phoned me back right away. I would happily recommend them, definitely.”
John Quinn, selling a three-bed semi bungalow in Dechmont Village in West Lothian
Barry and Holly had done really well when it came to selling my mum’s house after she passed away in 2019. I am a nurse, working 12 hour shifts. I don’t have time to chase things up with people you can’t rely on.
When I was selling my mum’s house last year, I invited three or four estate agents out to have a look at the property. None of them compared to Barry.
That is why we went back to MQ when we had to sell the home of my partner’s mother, who also sadly died.
I took Barry’s advice on what to do with the property. It needed decorating and I asked if we should do that first. He said:”No, put it on the market.”
It went really well and the house sold pretty quickly and above Home Report value, too.
I would happily recommend MQ. Everything was straightforward. Holly kept in touch with me all the time. They don’t mess about.
Alison Towns, selling a stone-built two bed cottage in Larkhall, South Lanarkshire.
We went the whole hog with MQ – not only did we sell our house through them, we bought one too.
We hadn’t really been planning on a move but I suppose we had this itch that if the right property came up, we would go for it. We spotted a detached house MQ were selling in Hamilton that ticked all our boxes.
Things moved quite quickly after that. MQ asked us who we were going to use to sell our house and when we said ‘no-one, yet’ they offered to put it on the market.
Yes, we were putting all our eggs in one basket but I reckoned we couldn’t lose. We were buying the house in Hamilton, subject to us selling our own house so it was in MQ’s interests to find us a buyer quick. It took them just three working days.
The house went ‘live’ on the Thursday and by the Monday, we had an offer just above the Home Report value.
I could not fault the service from MQ. Getting a buyer for our house allowed us to go through with the purchase in Hamilton.
Barry and his team were so professional in the way they went about their business.
I would recommend them without even thinking about it.
Campbell Crawford, selling a three-bed terraced house in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.
I had been made executor of my late mum’s estate and it came time to sell her house.
I’ve been in my own home for 26 years, so I have no recent experience of selling a property. Someone recommended I should go with MQ and now I am so glad I did.
The house went on the market on the Thursday and I had an acceptable offer on the Monday morning.
The second person booked to view it didn’t even get a chance to see it! It was offers-over £115,000 and MQ managed to get me £3500 on top of that. I was very happy as I never expected it to go as quickly as that, for such a good price.
Everything was explained to me in advance and I took advantage of their offer to do the viewings.
I’d even go as far as to say I was shocked at the speed of the sale. I told my sister what had happened – and she was gobsmacked! Well done to the MQ team.
Mairi Thomson, selling a three-bed mid-terrace house in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.
I was coming under pressure to sell my house during lockdown. Having to dispose of your property after 25 years would be worrying at the best of times but, due to COVID, it was becoming very stressful.
I needn’t have worried. After contacting a number of other estate agents, I opted for MQ. Other firms had been a bit over-optimistic in their claims about what price I could get for my property but I felt – even though Barry’s estimate was lower – his idea of the value was more realistic.
There were viewers at my door within 24 hours. We were all masked-up and I re-arranged the chairs in my living room, so we could all be socially-distant. Barry conducted the viewings himself, which I greatly appreciated. He struck a brilliant balance between professionalism and friendliness and I ended up with £5,000 above the Home report.
Communication with MQ was second to none. I think I spoke to Holly in the office once a day - sometimes more – and it didn’t matter if it was evening or weekend calls. Absolutely excellent.
I would have no hesitation in recommending MQ to anyone.
Rita Bruce, selling a two-bed sandstone flat in Glasgow’s Queen’s Cross.
I was hoping to sell my house through MQ when everything came to a halt due to lockdown. Quick as a flash, the property went on the market on July 2, the first week after house sales were allowed to resume. And within weeks, Holly had found me a buyer.
The market has been pretty slow in Aberdeen even without the effects of COVID-19 so to say I was delighted is an understatement. I could not find any fault with Holly at all.
She even managed to persuade the buyers to increase their offer after I indicated I was not at all happy with it.
Selling the house means I am able to downsize to a smaller house on the other side of town. I would happily recommend MQ to anyone.
Dorothy Goodbrand, selling a three-bed semi in Northfield, Aberdeen
“We knew before selling I might have a challenge on our hands.
In the light of the Grenfell Tower fire in London, lenders are not keen to offer mortgages on our type of flats because of the kind of cladding they have. Neighbours have had surveys done, which came back with a ‘nil’ Home Report value. It fills you with dread.
But Barry assured me I could still find someone to sell to, for example a cash buyer. He also instructed a surveyor, who came back with a Home Report market value, albeit with an explanation of the cladding issue.
Mary was great when she came to visit the property, taking excellent photos for the sales brochure, the content of which was very well presented and written.
Guidance on selling price and home report process was so helpful and ultimately we received an offer - during lockdown no less - that was good enough to accept…it was our first offer!
Holly, who took over the process once we accepted the offer, was fantastic – she was so friendly and helpful and very responsive by text, phone call and email, when required.
Holly kept us up to date with our purchaser’s progress on the legal side of things and was just so easy to deal with. Overall, a five star service from the MQ team!
Kyle Ruparelia, selling a two-bed apartment at Western Harbour View, Edinburgh
"My council house was the first property I had bought, so I’ve never sold a house before.
I did a search for estate agents on a comparison site and MQ jumped out at me.
Barry was happy to come and see me. Twice.
I found him very easy to talk to…..and quite funny, too!
I told him I was concerned that my house might not sell. He said he would definitely find a buyer – and he was right.
It was obvious he had a lot more experience than me when it comes to selling homes. His staff were very friendly and did their job well. MQ came through for me in the end – and I’m delighted about that.”
Sheila Hale, selling a three-bed semi detached house in Dryburgh Crescent, Dundee.
“I suppose it was an emotional sale. My sister and I were selling our mother and stepfather’s home.
Barry took the time to come and see me and my family on a weekend and we found him to be very professional. Another estate agent wanted the job without actually seeing the house – he even gave me a valuation over the phone.
Let’s just say I was less than impressed by that!
I know when you are selling a property the estate agent likes to keep in contact with one party. My sister wanted kept in the loop as well and she said that sometimes she did not receive the emails that I did.
Someone in the office also made a joke to her about football – a dangerous thing to do in the west of Scotland, particularly as my sister does not have a sense of humour!
But I cannot fault Barry or the fantastic service we received. When I saw the photographs, I could not believe the place we were selling looked so good.
MQ also got me a great price, in excess of the Home Report value. Overall, I am delighted by the service we received."
Barbara Thomson, selling a three-bed semi-detached in Kilmaurs, Ayrshire.
“We came across MQ because they were selling a house we were interested in.
Not only did we end up buying the property, we asked MQ to sell our house as well.
I had looked at using a local estate agent but their standards did not compare to the service we received from MQ.
They were so professional. They even advised us on how to prepare our house before the photographs were taken.
Barry came down and took personal charge of all the viewings, which we really appreciated. You could see a big difference in the way he operated and what we could expect from a local agent.
This was clearly a property professional who knew how to go about his business. I would happily recommend MQ."
Denise McPhee, selling a detached, four-bed villa in Ayrshire.
“Before selling my flat, I cast out for an estate agent through Zoopla. MQ were the first to get back to me.
I am an artist and I immediately liked Barry’s eye for design. He told me how they would photograph the place and he did not disappoint! The pictures were amazing.
I had never sold a property before and I was unsure what to expect but girls in the office kept me up to date with everything.
The property went ‘live’ on the Friday and I had viewers round my place by Sunday. One of the people coming that day ended up buying it.
And I got over Home Report value, too.
This company are professional and efficient and great at communication, too. It was a great experience.”
Jacqueline Dow, selling a two-bed flat in Edinburgh’s Lochend Park View.
“My house sale was literally about to ‘fall through’ before MQ founder Barry Chuwen came to the rescue.
I had agreed a deal to sell it but the buyer was finding it impossible to get the house insured. Without buildings insurance, he couldn’t get a mortgage.
It turned out the house was built next to a playpark, which records showed had an old mineshaft underneath.
I never had a problem insuring it but now it was threatening the sale of the property. In fact, my lawyer called me when I was out driving, to say “I’m sorry…..but the sale has fallen through.”
I was so shocked, I had to pull over. Never mind, Barry Chuwen was happy to go the extra mile for me.
He said he had contacts in the insurance business. Rather than admit defeat, he said he would ask around to see if someone would provide the buyer with buildings insurance.
Sure enough, someone was happy to insure the house; no problem at all.
This shows how good a company MQ is. I sing their praises to anyone thinking about selling their house. The people are very helpful, getting back to you if you leave a message.
I am delighted to recommend them.”
Rita Cherry, selling a three-bed detached villa in Barrmill, near Beith in North Ayrshire.
“We had a few estate agents around when we decided to sell the flat – but Barry was my favourite.
He seemed to know his stuff and was able to address all of my concerns on our first meeting. Let’s just say he was the natural choice!
We had our first viewers through the door within four days and I think we had 10 in total.
One lady came midway through the process, then asked if she could view it again a few weeks later. She was the one who bought it.
The overall service from MQ was really good. They were always there to answer my questions, so communication was excellent.
Things went so smoothly, we sold our flat and had our offer on a house in Tranent accepted the same day.Would I recommend them? Absolutely.”
Louise Rahr, selling a two-bed flat in Musselburgh, East Lothian.
“I had been casting around for an estate agent who would help me sell my flat. I decided to do a bit of research on the internet and when I went into Google, MQ was the first name that came up.
That rang a bell with me because I had seen MQ were selling a similar property near mine. This gave me the confidence to consider them because I took the view they would have the experience of selling similar property in my area.
I really enjoyed Barry’s approach. He was very friendly but also very informative and positive at the same time. He also promised to provide me with regular feedback, which eventually made me decide to use MQ to sell my flat.
Everything went well. As well as Barry, there were a number of staff members who helped me through the process. If I had any questions, someone would always get back to me quickly.
The flat sold fairly quickly. I would recommend them to anyone. If ever I was selling again, I would give them the job.”
Queenie Wong, selling a two-bed flat in Springburn, Glasgow.
“We went to one of those internet-only estate agents to get a valuation on the property, part of my late uncle’s estate.
I’m glad we decided to opt for MQ instead as the amount we received was £25,000 higher.
In all honesty, Barry could not have been nicer. I had felt a bit anxious but he immediately put me at my ease. I can’t believe the service I received for the money I paid.
As far as I am concerned, MQ could put a lot of ‘big name’ estate agents to shame.
Their attention to detail was second to none. Barry was happy to sit with me and listen to the history of the house. I never had to phone them for viewer feedback – they called me. The brochure they produced was very professional, outstanding in fact.
In the end, we got a fabulous price for my uncle’s house, far more than we expected. The MQ service was simply first class.”
Irene Whyte, acting as executor in the sale of her uncle’s three-bed mid terrace house in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.
“I thought the sale of the house would take a lot longer than it did. In fact, I was fearing the worst.
In the end, it was a relief when it went so quickly. I had been renting out the property for about 10 years. It was starting to need a bit of work, so I decided to use MQ to place it on the market.
Barry took charge of things, giving me his number if there were any questions I might have.
MQ took care of all the viewings, so I’m not exactly sure how many people came to see it. I think it was around a dozen.
Fortunately, it went for more than I expected so everything ended up surprisingly straightforward.
Barry kept me in touch and up-to-date with everything that was going on. Things were very relaxed and Barry seemed very approachable.
I would definitely recommend MQ to anyone.”
Amy Kirkwood, selling a one-bed flat in Torrisdale Street in Glasgow.
“I felt I was too far removed from the property I was renting out to tenants.
My own home is in Northern Ireland but the house I was letting out is in Dumfriesshire.
You need to be pretty close to your property to manage it properly but things just weren’t working out.
My experience of MQ was absolutely fab. The place sold in just two days. I couldn’t believe it.
I picked MQ after surfing the web. I paid particular attention to the testimonials from other people.
The communication I got was great. I was regularly updated with the level of interest from potential buyers. And within days, it was gone!
I had worried that it might stick for a while. Properties in that area don’t often move so fast.
I would happily recommend MQ.”
Cathryn Proctor, selling a two-bed semi-detached home in Sanquhar.
I knew I could trust Barry as soon as I met him.
When I spoke to the rest of the staff in the office, I also found them to be very helpful and friendly.
It was clear that this was a company which had extensive experience of buying and selling property – their first class service was just what I needed.
As far as I am concerned, MQ is the Number 1 estate agent in Scotland and I’ve been recommending them to everyone.
For me, Barry was the star. You can trust him with your eyes closed!”
Amrik Singh, selling a three-bed terraced house in Kirkintilloch.
“I had so much faith in MQ, I gave them two houses to sell.
The first was an investment property of mine, which sold in 24 hours.
Around the same time, I asked MQ to sell our family home. That sold within a day as well.
Barry had come to see me when I was looking for an estate agent. He was eager to get my business; he explained how things would work without making any empty promises.
I found him easy to deal with. If I could not get him on the phone, I would send him a text and he would get back to me rapidly.
MQ are good at what they do, they are quick and get the job done.
Oh, and when our house sold, we got £10,000 over the Home Report valuation. What more do you want?”
Donald Gair, selling an investment property in Dalkeith and his own home in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian
“I had more than enough on my plate to worry about selling my home.
I was expecting my first baby so I wanted everything done and dusted before she arrived.
The testimonials on the MQ page were very encouraging, so I decided to give it a try.
The job was done in a week.
Barry was amazing. He came to the house and I found him to be very professional. He did everything for me and so quickly, too. I was not required to chase up a single thing, which was just as well as I was so preoccupied with the baby coming.
The best thing I can say about MQ is that - at a difficult time - they made my life so much easier. Thank you.”
Jilly Walsh, selling a quarter villa in Houston, Renfrewshire (and now the proud mum of baby daughter, Gabriel.)
“We were disappointed with the performance of a previous estate agent we had been using. We phoned Barry, who not only got us out of the arrangement but saw to it that we had no fees to pay.
The difference was night and day. We live down in Ayrshire, so it meant a journey for Barry to come and see us. You appreciate the boss of a firm giving you the personal touch.
He spoke very well. He gave us the confidence to go forward with MQ.
The photography was second-to-none, as well.
It was a quiet time of the year but we still got a few viewers. If we made any phone calls, either Barry or a member of his team would ring back within five minutes. We also got a weekly update.
Everything was very professional and the sale went through. We’ve just had our offer accepted for a new place this morning.
You don’t deal in big sums of money in any other part of your life. It was great knowing we had Barry beside us all the way.”
Martin Kelly, selling a two-bed home in Stevenston, Ayrshire.
“That was the thing that made him so different from a previous estate agent I had used.
I had received a number of offers but none of them came close to my valuation, so I rejected them.
I told Barry the figure I needed to allow me to move on; and we got it.
I think he had contacts with developers who come in and refurbish a property. Whoever it was, I got the price I needed.
MQ had previously sold my grandfather’s house through my mum. She told me you were the only company I should go through when it came to me selling.
And if anyone ever asks me for my advice, I will be recommending MQ as well. You just made everything so much easier for me.”
Dianne Young, selling her three-bed home in Maybole, Ayrshire.
“It wasn’t what you would call a ‘joyful’ sale for us.
My mother was having to go into full-time care and my sister and I were having to sell her home.
Someone in my work had to do something similar because her mum had died and she recommended MQ.
Barry was very, very sensitive when he came out to see us. He took time to listen to our story, to hear the history of the house and a bit about mum as well.
These were difficult circumstances for us but Barry put us at ease because he was so attentive.
I have already recommended MQ to a colleague at work who is having to sell her late uncle’s home – and she gives you a big ‘thumbs-up’ as well.
We’re telling lots of people to use MQ. Barry was simply marvellous.”
Pat Doherty, selling mum’s three-bed terraced house in Linwood, Renfrewshire.
“I would hate to be working for me. I’m a perfectionist.
I felt a bit sorry for giving Justine and Rory a hard time but they took it like a champ.
To start with, I had a few people out before I decided which firm I would go with. I just got a good feeling about Barry and Rory.
Nothing was too much trouble for them. My house sold in seven days so my goal was achieved within a week.
Nothing to complain about whatsoever. I thought the sale was handled fantastically well and I would not hesitate to recommend them.”
Jillian Kerr, selling a two-bed mid terrace house in Linwood, Renfrewshire.
“We have had a relationship with MQ for more than five years, one that I would describe as completely ‘pain-free’.
No sooner had we bought our house in Midlothian than we had a baby – which made us want to move back to Essex.
Instead of selling our house in Scotland, we opted to ask MQ to manage its rental. When we eventually decided to dispose of the property, it was only natural to let MQ handle that as well.
We had originally been recommended to consider MQ for our property needs and I’m glad we did.
The house went to a closing date and we achieved £10,000 over the Home Report valuation.
MQ’s service was absolutely fantastic. Communication was outstanding and everything went smoothly.
I would be happy to recommend MQ to anyone – 100 per cent.”
Lisa Jackson, selling a detached three-bed home in Kirknewton.
“I like the fact that MQ are open late at night and at weekends. I know that’s the time when I do my property searches.
This worked out well because the people who bought my house phoned MQ on a Saturday morning. They came to view the property on the Sunday – and again on the Monday – and we had an offer in our hands on the Tuesday.
I also like Ian, the guy from MQ who came out to see us. I felt in safe hands.
Then, Barry came out and explained everything. I have already recommended Barry to a friend and he’s been out to see her, too.
For us, the house sale was a very quick turnaround. It’s great to see a company getting results so quickly.
It worked out exactly the way we had hoped. I would definitely award them four and a half stars out of five.”
Emma Burns, selling a two-bed semi in Beith, Ayrshire.
“Overall, I would say the service we received was above the norm, beyond our expectations.
“We decided to sell through MQ after getting the best kind of recommendation – from our daughter.
She had used the company to sell a house near Airdrie last year and said she was impressed with the service.
I have long experience of the housing market and my husband is an architect, who has also acted as a property developer.
So, perhaps we are a bit more difficult to please than other clients. Overall, I would say the service we received was above the norm, beyond our expectations.
In the end, we got the figure we wanted. I would certainly recommend MQ.”
Elizabeth Kettlewell, selling a three-bedroom semi detached property in Paisley.
“Before I knew it, everything was done and dusted with the house.
A man and woman came to see the flat and the lady made it very clear she wanted it. Very quickly, an offer came in way over the Home Report valuation. MQ told me to think about it and I decided to accept.
It was amazing. Things just happened so quickly. I would definitely recommend MQ to anyone.
What impressed me was the way nothing was too much trouble. They kept in touch with me all the time and before I knew it, the flat was sold.
That’s the way I like things. No mucking about…..get it done and dusted!”
Linda McLellan, selling a two-bed flat in Glasgow’s West End.
“I hadn’t committed to definitely putting my house on the market. After all, it was just a few days before Christmas.
But I was so impressed with Barry when he came out to do a valuation, that I just decided to go for it there and then.
My daughter and I sparked up such good rapport with him, we were confident he was someone who knew what he was talking about. We felt sure he would do all he promised.
I wasn’t disappointed. The house went ‘live’ on MQ on December 20 and it went ‘under offer’ on January 24.
I had an awful lot of viewers. There were still people wanting to see the property just a few days before Christmas. Some days, I had four viewers back-to-back.
I am absolutely delighted with the way things worked out. I got the price I was looking for, which has allowed me to get my mortgage sorted for our new place.
Some night, I was panicking and sending texts to Barry at 10pm. He always got back to me right away, calming me down and saying things would be fine.
Of course I would recommend MQ a million per cent. My parents live in a house that’s too big for them. I’ve suggested they get MQ in to do a valuation. ”
Mary Vaughan, selling a three-bed terraced house in Dundee.
“I had my fears about putting out house on the market just a month before Christmas.
It is traditionally the quietest time of the year for house sales and I was also worried our housebuilder was still building homes on our estate.
I worried that someone would prefer to buy a new house, rather than one – like ours – which is two years old.
But Barry came in and told me not to worry. He said my house was in good condition and that it would sell straight away.
He was right. The house was sold to the first viewer and everything was agreed with weeks to spare before December 25.
It meant we could confidently reserve a new home on an estate we like a few miles away at Newton Farm in South Lanarkshire.
MQ were brilliant. Barry filled me with confidence that the sale would happen – and it happened as quickly as we could wish for.
He knew we wanted a quick sale and that’s what we got.
We also got the Home Report value, which is fantastic. I would definitely recommend them.”
Charlene Stirling, selling a modern four-bed detached house in Glasgow’s Carntyne.
“I had never sold a house before – I was terrified!
I had seen the ‘MQ’ sign on a house for sale nearby, which I was interested in.
The company told me they could sell my property as well.
In the end, I decided to buy something else but MQ still said they were happy to put my place on the market.
I received a verbal offer for my place and put in a bid for the other property the very same day.
Everything’s worked out really well. I had enough to buy the other house, pay all my fees and still have a wee bit extra left over for myself.
If you take out the Christmas and New Year week, the house was only on the market for three weeks.
MQ told me to sit back and relax – and they would do all the work. And that’s how it worked out.
I got regular calls to let me know another viewer was coming. My house is full of boxes now because I’m ready to move into my new place – I can’t wait!
I have plenty of confidence in this company.”
Carol Wotherspoon, selling a three-bed apartment in Cowdenbeath, Fife.
Jacqueline McNeill was making one of the biggest moves of her life, selling the family home where she had lived for 47 years.
She says she’s delighted she had MQ’s Barry Chuwen guiding her every step of the way.
Home is a four bed detached villa in Glasgow’s Shettleston.
“Barry was marvellous,” said Jacqueline, now 60.
“I have lived in this house since my dad bought it when I was just 13 so moving is a big thing to me.
“Barry was very friendly and put me at my ease. “His staff were on hand to answer all my questions – and there were a lot of them because I had never sold a house before. “I needn’t have worried. The house went on the market with MQ mid November, normally a quiet time of the year, and it sold at closing date a couple of weeks later.”
Now, Jacqueline is preparing to move out of her childhood home for a new life in Uddingston.
She added:”I’m really looking forward to the move now. I would definitely recommend MQ. A million per cent.”
Jacqueline McNeill, selling a four-bed detached house in Shettleston.
Margaret Swain had a ‘playful’ reason for wanting to move home – she needed more room to store her grandchildren’s toys!
The two-bed end terraced house in Renfrew could simply not accommodate the dolls and prams Margaret began to acquire for her three small relatives.
“I think I’m reliving my childhood,” laughed Margaret, a grandmother to three. “I’m buying them all sorts of toys but don’t have room to store them.”
She is delighted she turned to MQ when she decided to up-size to something bigger. In boss Barry Chuwen, she found her very own Action Man.
She said:”Barry pulled out all the stops, doing everything he said he would do.
“He was very hands-on as were his office staff, who gave me nightly updates on how things were going.
“The house sold within days. It was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone.”
Following a burst of intense interest in the property, it was decided to set a closing date for bids.
Two parties submitted offers and Margaret declared herself “delighted” with the top offer.
Now she’s off to the toy shop again………
Margaret Swain, selling a two-bed end terraced house in Renfrew.
One of the main reasons I chose MQ is because they responded quickly when I left them a message.
They phoned me back right away and accommodated the time and date I could see them at my property.
I am still waiting for other estate agents to get back to me – and the property’s already sold!
It went on the market on the Tuesday and there was a full Home Report value offer on the table the following Tuesday. The second person who saw it, bought it.
MQ does what it says on the tin. Daniel, who came to see me, was brilliant. He didn’t dress things up or create any unrealistic expectations. I think the company succeeds because few others – if any – offer no upfront fees. That means they need to sell your house before they get any money.
I would definitely recommend MQ.”
Janet Carswell, selling a three-bed four in a block flat in Glasgow’s Knightswood.
“I put the flat on the market last November, three months after my father passed away.
There it sat, on an estate agent’s books, until I took the decision to switch in June. There had been three price drops and still it hadn’t moved.
I couldn’t go on like that. I spoke to Barry at MQ and he showed a lot of faith in the property.
He said he was confident he could secure a buyer for the flat by selling it through MQ’s estate agency business.
He was right. Within three weeks, I had someone out to view the property and they put in an offer.
I know I would never have got as much for my dad’s house if I had stuck with my original estate agent.
Barry is a genuine guy. Even the girls in the office were regularly updating me with news of interest in the property.
Honestly, they couldn’t do enough for me. I’d recommend them any time.”
Sandra Kelman, selling a two-bed top floor flat in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.
Our house went ‘live’ on the MQ website on the Wednesday, we had viewers on the Thursday and it was sold on the Friday.
To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. We had been looking at houses for quite a time; some of them had been on sale for months, or even years.
We had asked MQ for a valuation about a year before we eventually put it on the market. We contacted them again. Their representative, Richard, came out to value the property and the thing we liked most was that he wasn’t pushy.
We also appreciated how the sales team kept in touch with us throughout the process. The girl in the office made a point of calling all the viewers to ask their opinion of the place. Overall, I’d say the service was everything we hoped it would be. It was great.”
William Walker, selling a two bed semi-detached house in Alexandria.
“The sale of my own property was going through as a private transaction – what need did I have of an estate agent?
At the same time, I was negotiating with MQ over the purchase of a two-bed terraced house in Drumoyne.
Difficulties emerged with the sale of my own place. There had been a fire in the close and the potential buyer was struggling to raise the money to buy it.
So I turned to MQ for advice on Plan B.
Basically, they offered to buy my flat from me, sell it or rent it out on my behalf, explaining quite clearly how all three solutions would work.
They placed the flat on the market on the Wednesday evening and it was sold by lunch-time on the Thursday – less than 24 hours! On top of that, it achieved Home Report value.
The service I received from MQ was excellent. I soon developed every confidence in them. I work in housing myself, so I have some knowledge of the way things work.
Sometimes, you can wait for ages before an estate agency sends through an email. With MQ, I would have the information through within 30 minutes.
I would happily recommend them. They were first class. ”
Fiona Sloan, selling her one-bed flat in Glasgow’s Cessnock and buying a two-bed terraced house in the city’s Drumoyne.
“I couldn’t believe the difference between MQ estate agents and the previous company that had tried to sell my house.
In 18 months, the other estate agent had come up with the grand total of three viewers. Yes, three viewers.
I hadn’t realised that they were not placing it on the internet portals like Rightmove and Zoopla – they said it was too expensive.
Within hours of switching to MQ estate agents, we were told people wanted to see our place. In total, we had 24 viewers before it sold.
It was getting so busy, I was scared to pick up the phone in case it was MQ telling me they had someone else! It was actually strange having people in our home.
I would recommend them highly. In fact, I have already told someone I know to sign up.
Our house had languished on the market for a year and a half. Eventually, my wife saw a neighbour who was moving out.
Turned out, MQ had sold his place in a fortnight – there wasn’t even time to get a sign up in the garden. So we called you up.
The difference was amazing. Night and day, in fact. The speed things moved at was incredible; we got constant updates and the service was superb.”
Mark Quinn, selling a two-bed quarter villa in Glasgow’s Croftfoot.
There was a £1000 difference between MQ’s fees and the amount another, rival, agent was going to charge."
“I owned a mortgage shop once, which gave me a bit of inside knowledge on what makes a good house-seller.
I can also work out after five minutes on the phone if someone knows what they are talking about.
Right away, I knew that Hannah at MQ was as sharp as a tack. I got plenty of phone calls from her, even though it was Christmas and I didn’t expect much activity.
Our house sold in two weeks. The first person who came to see it put in an offer and that was that!
I have sold houses through other estate agents in my area before and, believe me, MQ make fools of the lot of them.
There was a £1000 difference between MQ’s fees and the amount another, rival, agent was going to charge. And £1000 is not to be sniffed at.
I am a very happy bunny.”
Billy Terras, selling a two-bed semi detached property in East Wemyss, Fife.
“Much of my working time is spent recreating the big band sounds of the Rat Pack, made famous by Sammy Davis Junior, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
Well now I’m taking ‘Ol Blue Eyes’ advice to ‘Come Fly With Me’ and heading for a new life with my wife in Spain.
It’s the weather. You think to yourself ‘there has to be better than this’.
When it came to selling our house, I was delighted with the service we received from MQ.
Lesley came to see us and explained everything in great detail; she really was on the ball.
Within 24 hours of it going on the market, we had four viewers at our door. MQ kept us up to speed with everything that was happening with the sale and, true to their word, the house did indeed MQ.
I have another property to sell before we leave in June. And I’ll definitely be handing that to MQ as well.”
Leading Scottish vocalist Jim McMail, selling a five-bed detached villa in Crookston, Glasgow.
“I was a little bit worried about the house sale because it went on the market just before Christmas.
At best, I thought I might need to spend a lot of money to advertise it; at worst, I thought I might have to drop the price.
I could not have been more wrong, on both counts. MQ don’t charge any advertising or marketing fees and the level of interest they generated meant discounting the price was unnecessary.
The house sold within three days, achieving full Home Report value.
I do a bit of part-time property developing. We take a house and fully refurbish it, with new kitchen, bathroom and newly-decorated from top to toe. It ends up looking like a new house.
Even with my experience, it was great to have someone at MQ to give me a second opinion on different aspects of the house sale.
I could not have been happier. The first person who came to see it bought it.
I have a number of other properties that are almost ready for sale and they will be marketed through MQ as well.
Why would I go anywhere else?”
Michael Bajnar, selling a two-bed semi in Kirknewton, Edinburgh.
The MQ service was amazing.
Honestly, I’d give them 10 out of 10.”
“To show how pleased I am with MQ, I have already recommended them to someone else.
A customer who comes into my work regularly was saying he’s thinking of selling. Before he had the words out, I said to him ‘you’ve got to go with MQ’.
Richard and Lesley were amazing. Richard didn’t try and oversell the company’s service; he took time to explain everything brilliantly.
I had invited a few firms out to see me but Richard was by far the best.
I had never sold a property before so I didn’t know what to expect or what to do.
The MQ service was amazing. Lesley kept me up to speed. Even the law firm they recommended were great, too.
Honestly, I’d give them 10 out of 10.”
Caroline Swan, selling a two-bed flat in Glasgow.
“We were looking for a lifestyle change and began researching properties available in fairly rural locations.
Our attention was drawn to a steadings-style development in Carnbo, Perth and Kinross, being marketed by MQ.
Through Barry, we agreed a part exchange, which saw us swapping our five-bed house in Bathgate, plus some cash.
I can’t thank Barry enough. He was courteous, professional and enthusiastic. Without his involvement, it could not have happened.
Now, we’re living the dream. Looking out our window, the view is just idyllic. There’s fields and trees and farmland wherever you look.
I like the fact we are four miles from the nearest street light!
We’ve found the perfect property in a beautiful part of the country; we couldn’t be happier.”
Robert Wallace, part-exchanging his home in Bathgate for a traditional steadings-style development in Carnbo with four bedrooms and four reception rooms (and great views.)
“My sister and I found ourselves in the position of having to sell my dad’s house after he died.
We had it on for months with another estate agent, but nothing seemed to be happening.
Whether it was because there were a few other houses for sale in the area, I don’t know.
But one of those other houses seemed to sell pretty fast – and it was being sold by MQ.
I thought to myself:”If they can sell that one quick, then maybe they can do the same for me.”
That was all the encouragement I needed to switch estate agents – and I was glad I did.
We sold my father’s house and my sister and I, as beneficiaries, were able to move on with our lives. It provided a kind of closure, if you like.
I’m not going to buy a Bentley or anything. The money will go straight into my pension.
But my sister and I were delighted that the whole thing was over.”
William Shaw, selling a quarter villa flat in north Glasgow.
“We were confident we’d be able to find a buyer for our flat – but to sell it in just two days surprised even us.
It was in beautiful condition, and we had heard that flats are currently selling faster than houses.
We chose MQ because it offers a one-stop shop for selling your home; you don’t even have to find a solicitor because they do that for you.
Daniel came out and spoke to us initially. When we decided to go for it, he was out the next day, taking pictures. The girls in the office tied up the paperwork and the house was on the websites before we knew it.
We had loads of interest. We could have hung out for more but we took the first offer we received for the amount we wanted – and it was sold in two days.
I would tell anyone to go with MQ. As for us, it’s Happy Days.”
Mark Currer, selling a two bed flat in Edinburgh’s Wester Hailes.
“I was first attracted to MQ by the prospect of buying my new home and selling my old one through their part exchange scheme.
"To be honest, I felt a bit funny, getting to the age of 68 and having never sold a house before.
“I’ve had a few health issues, so my daughter and her husband said they would move in with me in my new place.
“My son-in-law saw a house in Shieldhall Road and we decided to go for it. When it came to selling my own home, I thought a part-exchange through MQ would give me the best deal.
“Richard came to see me and gave me the comfort of a significant offer from MQ. Turns out, I got more for my old house than I’m paying for the new one!
“MQ are an excellent company to deal with. Their people are very easy to talk to.
“I got great advice, which is what you need when you get to my age. Any problem I had was sorted, just by lifting the phone.
“I’m a big fan of MQ now. They’re absolutely fantastic.”
Lesley King, selling a three-bed end terrace house in Paisley.
“My family had a dream of starting a new life in the country. We are all horse-mad and had our eye on a farm with stables in Ayrshire.
But first, we had to sell our house in the suburbs.
MQ Premier were great. The boards were up outside our house in no time and they began to generate interest among potential buyers.
When you have never sold a house before, you need guidance and management from your estate agent.
I usually like control of things but what did I know about the performance of the housing market?
MQ Premier were very professional in their dealings with us. When we did get an attractive offer, they advised us against diving in straight away. It was good advice.
The sale went through and now we’re heading for the country. The kids are so excited.
A neighbour popped round to ask what we thought of MQ because they’re also thinking of selling. I told them I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.”
Hazel Shaw, selling a four-bed detached bungalow in Whitecraigs, East Renfrewshire.
"Things moved quickly after we asked MQ to market our property.
Photographs were taken of our house and they appeared on the internet in no time.
There were plenty of viewers, especially in the first week. There was a wee lull, then they steadily built up again.
I wasn't at all worried that they would sell our house. Staff informed us of everything that was going on and provided feedback from people who had been out to see it.
I was very happy with the interest they generated, which produced the sale we wanted.
I would recommend MQ, no problem."
Alexander Russell, selling a four-bed detached villa in Lindsayfield, East Kilbride.
“Selling your house through the wrong estate agent can be a bit like pulling teeth. Thank goodness my partner works in a dental practice.
Our property had been on the market for 12 months yet within all that time, we had around eight viewers.
Hannah, my partner, had mentioned our predicament to one of her patients at the dental practice where she works. Fortunately, she was Jenny Chuwen, one of the founders of MQ.
After we switched, MQ seemed to be a lot more proactive than our previous estate agency. I work in sales so I know when someone’s really on the ball.
Hannah and Lesley were on the phone all the time, telling me about any planned viewings and giving me feedback from those who had seen the place.
Compared to our previous agency, MQ produced around 25 viewers in just 12 weeks…. before the property sold.
MQ are absolutely brilliant. I’ll be personally thanking Hannah and Lesley. And I’ve already sent Jenny a card.”
Michael Sherlock, selling a four-bed apartment in Sherbrooke Avenue, Pollokshields in Glasgow.
“I had let my property through an agent for two years, before deciding to sell. After interviewing all the major agents, I decided to sell through the agent I was already with.
After six weeks and only three viewings without any offers, I was disappointed and frustrated.
I contacted MQ and a meeting with Richard was arranged. He explained everything that he would do to promote, and sell, my property.
I was a bit dubious, and left it that I would contact him again.
Now that I have been through the process, I would give this piece of advice to anyone not sure that MQ will deliver – if you go to them you will save yourself a lot of heartache.
I was so impressed by their service. Every day, Hannah or Lesley would call me up with an update on viewers and the level of interest being shown in my property.
I sold it in two weeks. The second person to see it, bought it.
I had wanted to clear a certain amount. And after the fees were deducted, I got exactly the price I was looking for.
I am very happy. Listen to what MQ tell you, because it’s absolutely right.”
S. Fraser, selling an upper cottage flat in Croftfoot, Glasgow.
“Why wouldn’t I be happy with MQ? They got me £15,000 more than my neighbour got!
They were helpful and supportive throughout the transaction, giving me peace of mind that everything was in order.
I sometimes think personalities can have a big bearing on your decision-making. I got one estate agent in and found him terribly arrogant.
I thought ‘No, you’re not getting my business.’
Then Richard came to see me from MQ. He was very pleasant. He made it clear that with no upfront fees, it was in both parties’ interests to get a sale.
Within two weeks, I had an offer for my house. The people hadn’t sold their own place – so I strongly recommended they use MQ as well.
That’s how happy I am with the service.”
Elspeth Adair, selling a three-bed flat in King’s Park, Glasgow.
“Sometimes, estate agents are asked to do things that aren’t really their job – I asked Lesley McKirdy to mediate between me and my wife!
Frances and I had differing ideas on how the property should be sold and how much we should be prepared to settle for.
I said to Lesley one day ‘Here, would you speak to my missus?’
Lesley was absolutely brilliant. She kept us up to speed with everything that was going on, things like feedback from people who had viewed our home.
I already knew MQ were good because my brother and sister-in-law had already sold through the company and were pretty happy.
In the end, we got £25,000 over the asking price. My wife is happy……and if she is happy, I am happy.
And maybe Lesley should volunteer for marriage counselling!”
James and Frances Tait were happy to sell their four-bed Milton Cottage in Clydebank’s Duntocher Road.
“The first time we went to see Milton Cottage (see testimonial above) James mentioned he had switched to MQ.
We liked the house, but had still not sold our own. It made sense for us to try and sell through them as well.
I’m glad we did. We got £4,000 more than the Home Report value and it meant there was no hold-up in us buying Milton Cottage.
We will be sorry to see our place go. The view over Kelvingrove Art Galleries was superb and the night life in Finnieston is now beginning to take over from Byres Road.
But our new place is nice as well. It’s a lovely area and pretty quiet, too.
I can’t complain about MQ’s service. Our house sold in 10 days and I can honestly say Lesley was very good at her job.
I’d happily recommend them.”
Andrew Scott, selling a two-bed flat in Yorkhill, Glasgow……and buying Milton Cottage in Clydebank.
“I was a bit concerned. I was coming up to my 60th birthday and I’d never sold a house before.
With MQ, I needn’t have worried. Everything went as sweet as a nut.
My wife and I have three properties but, as I near retirement, we thought it best to let them go and enjoy ourselves.
This was the first one. I got a number of estate agents out to see me, to gain an insight into the way they work.
Daniel Coyle from MQ struck me as very professional and highly enthusiastic about his company. So I gave him the job.
During the sale process, the office staff were superb. They knew the answers to everything I asked. Even at the weekend, if there were no viewers, they would still give me a call and tell me not to worry.
The price I eventually got was bang on the Home Report value. Fantastic!
I would say that MQ are firm favourites to get my repeat business when it comes to selling the other two properties.”
Tam Paton, selling a one-bed flat in Saughton Mains Terrace in Edinburgh.
“I had known all about the MQ service before I decided to put my flat on the market.
I had been using the company as letting agents while I was renting it out. I never had any hassle. The only time I heard from them was when it was something I had to authorise. When you are renting out a property, you just want things to be as easy as possible.
So it was a no-brainer to turn to them for the sale.
Again, it all went effortlessly. My flat sold within 10 days. I had four viewers on the Saturday and by the Monday, I had an offer in excess of the Home Report value.
It’s been great. Once my tenants moved out, the flat was only empty 15 days before the new people took over.
I never imagined it would sell so quickly. It’s what I call perfect service.”
Alison Robbie, senior sports reporter at Radio Clyde, selling a one-bed tenement flat in Glasgow’s Dennistoun.
“Wow! Fantastic! I just wanted to pick up the phone and tell everyone how amazing this company is.
Everyone expects great service in this day and age. But that doesn’t stop you being impressed when you get it. Every time I phoned up, I got great personal service from Lesley. She didn’t need to put me on hold to check my file; she knew exactly who I was and what was happening to my property.
You expect people to over-promise in a bid to get your business. But when this company say ‘MQ’ they mean it.
I had been resigned to waiting six months or so to sell my flat. Thanks to MQ, it went in two weeks and even managed to get the Home Report valuation.
I can honestly advise anyone - and I’m not getting paid to say this – don’t hesitate to use this company.”
Samantha Davies, owner of a one-bed tenement flat in Dumbarton Road, Glasgow.
“I am so glad I decided to go with MQ – I ended up getting £10,000 more than I was expecting.
When it came time to sell my house, I remembered a friend of mine on Facebook, raving about how good the company was. So, I decided to call the estate agent she was so pleased with.
I had only sold one house before and that was during a sales boom about 10 years ago. I thought this time it would be much harder and I was thinking I would probably accept the first offer I got.
But MQ were lining up six or seven people a day to come and view my house.
When I did get my first offer I was still inclined to accept it but MQ advised me:”No way, hold out for more.”
The house went to a closing date and I got £10,000 above the Home Report value. I am thrilled to bits, as you can imagine.”
Michelle Winter, selling a three-bed semi-detached villa in Glasgow’s Maryhill
“I have had the house about seven years but spent about six of them playing football abroad or away from home. I have sold a number of properties in the past and I can honestly say MQ are the best estate agents I have used.
Everything was so easy. Lesley was very professional, making sure I got feedback about what viewers thought of the house. There’s nothing worse than having to phone your estate agent to find out what’s happening with your own place.
You also had a trust in MQ to do well for you because they did not ask you to pay any upfront fees. Taking everything off my hands was a great relief – as well as a busy professional life, I’ve got two kids to look after as well now.
So I was happy to get the place sold and the money in the bank.”
Alan Gow, St Mirren midfielder and former Rangers star, selling a detached house in Milton, Dunbartonshire.
“My husband and I appeared on the BBC programme ‘Wanted Down Under’, where couples are shown what a new life can be like in Australia.
We decided to go for it but first, we had to sell the flat in Glasgow. If it didn’t go well, we were worried we might have to rent it out while we emigrated.
We needn’t have worried. I would give MQ 15 out of 10 for their service.
The flat went on the market on the Thursday…..and it was sold by the Monday. We went to a closing date and got two offers, both of which were over the Home Report value. It was magic, the final piece in the jigsaw.
Lesley at MQ was never off the phone, telling us there was more interest in the flat. Barry was amazing as well.
Now, the tickets are booked and the BBC are coming to film our departure.
It’s Adelaide, here we come!”
Christopher King, selling a two-bed top floor flat in Springburn Road, Glasgow.
“I had been trying to sell my house, on and off, for a couple of years. I am on my own and a house with four bedrooms and three bathrooms was just too much.
I wasn’t happy with my estate agent because they had advised me to pitch it at £149,000 in order to attract interest.
But all it did was attract people who couldn’t afford it – and who were making ridiculous offers of £130,000.
I switched to MQ and it was sold in 10 days – for almost £170,000.
I enjoyed a fantastic service from the company. When they said they would come and take pictures, they turned up on time. Every time they got an inquiry from someone, they let me know.
Honestly, I was extremely impressed with the service. It was 100 per cent what I was looking for.
I hope I don’t have to move again but if I did, I would ask MQ to help me. Until then, I have recommended the company to all my family and friends.”
Thomas Fraser, selling a detached villa in Paisley, Renfrewshire
“I work in sales and marketing so I know the difference between talking to a human being and talking to a Dalek. That’s the only word I would use to describe the previous estate agent I used to sell my flat.
I gave them four months before I pulled the plug and opted for MQ. Richard was my kind of guy……well-spoken and elegantly dressed. He looked good and sounded good.
He explained how it was not in the company’s interests for a property to be kicking around on its books.
The girls in the office were great; Barry was great. From top to bottom, MQ were excellent in their organisation. There was a seamless process throughout my sale, which tells me they pick the right people and they train them well.
My flat went to a closing date and I got the result I wanted. The journey for me had gone from anger with my previous estate agent to complete happiness with MQ.
If I do more transactions in the property market, there is only one number I’ll be calling. MQ’s.”
Gordon Church, selling an attractive two bed flat in Shawlands, Glasgow.
“We hadn’t really been prepared for the house to sell so quickly. We were not in a rush and didn’t have anywhere else to go. But MQ soon got the viewers in and folk were arriving at a rate of two a week. In just four weeks, the right offer came in and we would have been daft not to take it.
Before we knew it, the house was sold. MQ had to inform the additional viewers they had lined up that it had been taken off the market. Now, we’ve got to find somewhere else. But it’s a nice problem to have.
I found everyone I dealt with at MQ was friendly. They always kept me informed on how things were going through regular updates.
Of course, I would recommend them. We already have to some of our friends. Even they were astonished how quickly we sold.”
James McGoldrick, selling a first floor flat in Cockles Loan, Renfrew.
No up-front cost gives you the confidence that MQ will work hard to sell your home……or they don’t get paid!
“There were several reasons why I chose MQ in the first place.
Daniel, who came out to see us, was very impressive. We had tried to sell the house a few years previously but the estate agent we used then was not up to the job. But it was the fact that we did not have any fees to pay until the house was sold was the thing that clinched it for us.
That approach gives you the confidence that MQ will work hard to sell your home……or they don’t get paid.
The service was good. MQ kept us in touch with what was going on and it was the first person who came to view the house that bought it.
I would encourage anyone to talk to MQ. The real plus point is the fact that they have to sell your house before they get anything.”
Christopher Stadames, selling Slains Lodge, a wonderful period property by the sea in Aberdeenshire.
“My house had been on the market for four years, with two different estate agents.
MQ took over. They found a couple. And they bought it. Simple as that.
I found MQ very professional. I was kept in the loop all the time. The quality of the photographs was way above the norm.
The difference between these images and the ones taken by our previous estate agents was night and day.
I watched the photographer lying in the street so he could get the perfect snap – unbelievable!
In fact, they were so good, we took one look at the pictures and asked ourselves ‘so, why are we selling?’
I had built the house myself, so it meant a lot to me. I would definitely use MQ again.”
Allan Keillor, selling a four-bed detached property in Arbroath.
The third viewer to see the house put in an offer.
I’d happily recommend MQ Premier.
“My kids are heartbroken at the thought of leaving our house. My family are drifting away and it’s just me, my wife and a couple of children left.
The house is a four or five bedroom villa, built by Cala Homes just four years ago. It is gorgeous.
But it’s simply too big for us now and my wife would like to be nearer her mother in Newton Mearns.
After we decided to downsize, we got Daniel from MQ Premier out to advise us. He worked out a good deal for us and I just decided ‘let’s go for it.’
They kept us informed of how things were going and the third viewer to see the house put in an offer.
The sale means we can now sort out our finances by living in a smaller property. I’d happily recommend MQ Premier.”
Arshid Malik, selling a four to five bedroom villa in Jackton, South Lanarkshire.
“We were selling two properties – my flat and the one owned by my girlfriend.
We were delighted with the service you provided for us, both in the sale of my flat and also in our attempts to sell Kate’s property.
Throughout the whole journey, you and your staff have been fantastic and we would like to extend a massive thanks to you all.
In the end, Kate and I have decided to rent out her flat, instead of selling it.
But we are so impressed with your support, guidance and hard work that we now want MQ to act as our letting agents.
In that regard, we look forward to benefiting from your professionalism and expertise as we take a different path with Kate’s flat.
Many thanks again.”
Davie Forbes and Kate Matthews.
“The girls in work didn’t believe me. I told them on the Friday of a holiday weekend that I had just put my house on the market.
When I went in to work on Tuesday and told them I’d received an offer they were sure I was winding them up!
Honest to God. It’s the gospel truth. My house sold in four days.
I hadn’t rushed into signing with MQ. When Richard first came out to see me, he spent a lot of time explaining absolutely everything. Still, I wasn’t sure and asked him to come out to see me again.
He did not just want to place my house on the market; he gave all the info I required and left me to make up my own mind.
The service was absolutely excellent. The house went on the market on the Friday and on the holiday Monday, I had the MQ girls on the phone, lining up viewers. Someone who saw it on the Tuesday slapped in an offer right away…..and it was sold.
I was dumbstruck. I kept thinking ‘you don’t sell a house in four days – they’ll pull out’. But they didn’t.
I would urge anyone thinking of selling their home to go with Move Quick. And your house might MQer than expected!”
Mary Stewart, selling a two-bed upper flat in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.
You guys did a fantastic job – I’m so impressed.”
“If you suddenly see lots of houses coming up for sale with MQ in Arbroath, it’s because of my recommendation.
I want shares in your company. I can’t say how grateful we are for what you have done for us.
We were previously with another estate agent and only got four viewers in almost six months. Once we had swapped to MQ, we got five people through the door in under a week…..and sold the house!
I am telling everyone I know to go with MQ; I say to them all that if they’re thinking of selling ‘don’t’ be a fool – go with MQ’.
Taking everything into consideration, the brilliant promotion, photographs and advice, I think they are well worth it.
We knew whoever bought our house was getting a fantastic property but it was still a great relief when it sold.
You guys did a fantastic job – I’m so impressed.”
Esme Watt, selling a three-bed terraced house in Arbroath (and buying a bungalow through us in the same town.)
“We had never sold a house before so were very unsure of what lay ahead for us.
Fortunately, MQ were recommended to us by a woman who works with my husband. She had sold her house through you and was delighted with the outcome.
So were we – the house sold in three days!
It went online on the Wednesday and it was sold by the Saturday. The first woman who came to see it on the Friday put in a very nice offer…..which met the full Home Report value.
Everything about the service we received was brilliant. Hannah in the office gave us great advice and we got a huge response when the house went on sale.
Every time we tell anyone about our experience they reply: ”You have to be joking! It sold how quickly?”
But it’s true. We’re all sorted now. I would recommend MQ to anyone.”
Tracey Brown, selling a mid-terrace three-bed home in Knightswood, Glasgow.
The house sold in a week and a day – and at the price I wanted. I cannot believe how good they are. I am a very happy customer.”
“Where do I start to tell you what I think about MQ?
I want everyone to know how good they are. My son is about to sell his house and he will be going with MQ as well.
We might be in Dundee but MQ got a better response among viewers than any local estate agent would have managed.
The photographs were great; communication was excellent and the costs were reasonable, too. They even found me a solicitor.
The house sold in a week and a day – and at the price I wanted. I cannot believe how good they are. I am a very happy customer.”
Shona Muir, selling a three-bed semi detached house in Dundee.
“I would say I was pleasantly surprised when the house sold – but in truth, I was shocked it went so quickly.
The house had only been on the market with MQ for a week when the first couple who saw it, bought it.
It was the MQ radio jingle on the radio that first drew my attention to the company.
But now, I’d be happy to recommend them to anyone.
We are not entirely sure what out next move will be. I suffer from a medical condition in my joints but the fact that we sold the house so quickly means I may be able to give up work and we might rent a property, instead.
The good thing is the sale has given us choices to decide how we want to live our lives now. I’m very happy.”
Grace Gordon, selling a two bed terrace house with boxroom in Alexandria.
I got what I expected for the house. My old neighbours should take note because loads of other houses in the area have been sitting on the market for months on end!
“It was the testimonials on the MQ website that did it for me.
Stories from people saying how quickly and easily their house was sold. That gave me the confidence that I’d be facing a smooth transaction when it came to selling my place.
I didn’t have long to wait before I found out how quick the whole thing could be. It went live on the market on the Saturday and I got a call from MQ that day, saying people were wanting to see it.
Honestly, I had viewers arrive even before the ‘For Sale’ board went up in my garden.
Other estate agents take ages over everything. That, and the way they charge fees upfront. Not Move Quick.
The service was fantastic – my house sold in two weeks. I am absolutely delighted.”
Joanne Boyle, selling a two-bed end terrace house in Bishopbriggs.
The difference between them and MQ was like night and day.
“My first experience of selling my home was a nightmare, a total con.
I am not very familiar with the internet and I clicked on the first house-selling company I came across. It was a big mistake.
I told them I was looking for about £70,000 for the property but they advised me to drop the asking price to £60,000 to generate more interest.
It did nothing of the kind. It only managed to generate an offer of £55,000.
Under the contract I had signed with them, I had to wait 16 weeks before telling them they were no longer working for me.
The difference between them and MQ was like night and day.
Suddenly, there were a lot more viewers and I was being kept up-to-date with every aspect of the sale.
Thanks to MQ, I got slightly more than the £70,000 I was looking for in the first place.
I could not fault them. I am perfectly satisfied with everything they did.”
Harry Harkness, selling a two-bed tenement flat in Glasgow.
I got what I expected for the house. My old neighbours should take note because loads of other houses in the area have been sitting on the market for months on end!
“The girls in the office were amazing. Lesley and Hannah kept me up-to-date with everything that was going on.
I never felt I was getting passed from person to person. And I didn’t feel at all stressed whenever I came off the phone with them. All I ever asked was for them to be upfront with me....and they were.
I had picked MQ over another company because I felt so at ease with Richard. Other estate agents were playing down the price I could expect for my house but Richard’s valuation proved to be spot-on.
I was also sold on the idea that I would only have to pay for the Home Report until the house was sold, and then for a fixed fee.
In the end, I got what I expected for the house. My old neighbours should take note because loads of other houses in the area have been sitting on the market for months on end!
I would recommend MQ hands down.”
Lynsey Cavanagh, selling a three-bed flat in Glasgow.
I'm overjoyed we sold the place. The first person who came to view, bought it
"A whole year with another estate agent had produced not a single viewer, inquiry, nothing.
They were telling me that one-bedroom flats were just not selling.
Three weeks after switching to MQ, my flat was sold. To be honest, I'm still a bit stunned. The first person who came to view it, bought it.
My girlfriend and I wanted somewhere bigger, especially after our daughter, Ellis came along.
But the sale went through so quickly, we're all bunking up at my mum's house while we search for something new.
Having said that, I'm overjoyed we sold the place. One of my friends decided to go with MQ and his place sold within a month.
MQ Estate Agents have been great. I don't know what it is they do…..but they are very good at it!"
Stephen Bolton, selling a one-bedroom flat in Johnstone.
we got the price we were looking for and we couldn’t be more delighted.
“I could not have asked for better service. It started with MQ Estate Agents advising me how to arrange my rooms so that they looked better to viewers.
Then, they made sure I got a steady stream of people through the door, creating a lot of interest.
In the end, the house went to a lady who lives nearby but we got the price we were looking for and we couldn’t be more delighted.
I have sold a house through another firm before and I always felt we were chasing them for information. This time around, I was getting emails, even if it was just to say a viewer was not going to pursue it. The flow of information was superb.
I would definitely go with MQ Estate Agents again and would recommend them to anyone.”
John Paul Reilly, selling a three-bedroom semi in Paisley.
“My last home move was a nightmare – I was determined the same thing wouldn’t happen again.
A few days before the removal men were due to come, my estate agent phoned and suggested I unpack. It transpired the people who had ‘bought’ my place were having trouble getting funds.
The sale eventually went through but this time I wanted no nonsense. I liked the look of the MQ Estate Agents website and decided to grab the bull by the horns.
I’m glad I did. I had three sets of viewers in just two days and the third one offered me the home report value.
I was amazed. It unlocked my future. Everyone I spoke to at the company was friendly and helpful. Daniel was very sympathetic and knew what I was on about.
The service was marvellous…..and what a contrast to the last time.”
Doreen Casey, selling her three-bedroom end terrace home in Port Glasgow.
“I am all packed up and ready to go – thanks to MQ Estate Agents.
I lost my mother and father and found myself living in a place I had no real attachment to.
When it came time for a wee change, I surfed the net to see what services were available to me. I’d never sold a house before but I liked the look of the MQ Estate Agents website as soon as I saw it.
My place sold in three days. Aberdeen’s property market is pretty healthy right now but I’m still glad it went so quickly because I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of people tramping through my house.
Richard was lovely and everyone I dealt with at MQ Estate Agents was helpful and friendly. I’m moving to a nice house in Marywell, near Portlethan, with a dining room and three bedrooms.
But most of all, it’s got a back and front garden, surrounded by conifers, where I can sit out with my two wee dogs.”
Pamela Harbi, selling a two-bedroom flat in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.
“I was pretty confident our house would sell all right – I just wasn’t prepared for how quickly it went.
We got involved with MQ Estate Agents because they were selling the house in Peebles we were interested in buying.
They asked if we had anything in place to market our own home, which we didn’t, so Daniel came out to see us.
He was lovely. It made sense to use MQ Estate Agents for both buying and selling our house.
They kept me up to date with everything that was going on. I found the service to be professional – but friendly with it.
Our house sold at a closing date within two weeks, to the first person who came to see it. We also managed to achieve more than the Home Report valuation.
I would definitely recommend MQ Estate Agents. I didn’t have a problem with a single thing.”
Corinne Neil, selling a three-bedroom semi in Musselburgh.
“Talk about doing what it says on the tin? MQ Estate Agents sold my house in a weekend!
Lesley presented my property to the market on the Friday and that very night, someone said they wanted to see it.
They came on the Sunday and by Monday, I had received an acceptable offer and the deal was done.
I could not believe it. Property just doesn’t move that fast, especially where I live.
Lesley was fantastic. She was determined my place would look its very best.
Lesley definitely has the gift, helped by a wee bit of luck thrown in for good measure.
I am extremely happy. Getting the house sold so quickly meant I was able to register my daughter at a council nursery in our new area.
MQ Estate Agents – it does what it says on the tin!”
Louise Davidson, selling a two-bed semi in Johnstone, Renfrewshire
“I liked the fact that MQ Estate Agents offered to take charge of the project, from beginning to end.
They said they would do everything connected with the sale, from arranging the surveyor to organising good quality photographs of the property.
I am quite busy with work, so it had an obvious appeal. But I was also attracted by the fact they would pay everything for me upfront, including my Home Report.
Everything went fantastic. Within a week of it hitting the market, I had an offer which I duly accepted. And I got the price I was looking for, as well.
MQ Estate Agents did a really good job and I would be very happy to recommend them one hundred per cent.”
Hassan Musa, selling a one-bedroom flat in Edinburgh.
“I can easily sum up what I think of MQ Estate Agents – one hundred per cent fantastic!
I got in touch with them because the absence of any upfront fees really appealed to us. Someone from MQ Estate Agents was out to see me the next day.
The photographs that appeared on the websites were so good, I took one look at them and said ‘that can’t be my house’. But it was.
There was a constant procession of viewers before the house sold at a closing date in 10 days. Plus, we got over the Home Report valuation. One hundred per cent fantastic!
I had sold a house in 2007 with another agent and it was on the market for months.
I have recommended MQ Estate Agents to one of my friends already. I told her ‘it does what it says on the tin’.”
Julianne Mitchison, selling a three-bed semi detached house in Maryhill, Glasgow.
“In the past, we have bought and sold three times and always used local estate agents.
This time, we went with MQ Estate Agents and they were great.
When we phoned someone, the attention to detail was second to none and any query we had was dealt with quickly.
We also found them to be very proactive in the way they marketed our house. Local estate agents seem to rely on simply responding to calls from people who might have seen our home.
And that was the biggest difference between them and MQ Estate Agents – professionalism. Nothing was a bother and the attitude seemed to be ‘let’s get on and do it.’
This time, the house was sold in 17 days after going on the market. And we got the Home Report valuation.
Now, I’ve recommended MQ Estate Agents to three of my friends who were thinking about going with a local estate agent.”
Craig Robertson, selling a two-bedroom mid terrace villa in Alexandria.
“I decided to go with MQ Estate Agents because they were also selling the property I was looking to buy.
My experience of selling agents had not been good up to that point. I had been using a local estate agent but nothing appeared to be happening. One so-called ‘fast sale’ company offered to buy my house but the sale fell through.
MQ Estate Agents put me at ease when they told me it wasn’t the end of the world. I asked them to market it for me and within a week I had four viewers – and a firm offer.
The photographs and marketing material they produced were far superior to anything I had been shown before.
I was so relieved, especially after the hassle I had had before. And I also got the house they were selling!
Now, I’ve recommended MQ Estate Agents to someone else because I found everything to be smooth, helpful and totally hassle-free.”
Katherine Reynolds, selling a three-bed terraced house in Auchterarder, Perthshire.
If I was ever selling a house again, I’d have no hesitation in coming straight to you guys – the service I got was out of this world.
“I wasn’t the easiest client to deal with. I’m now living in Yorkshire, while trying to sell a flat in Fife.
Originally, a mate who works offshore was going to do the viewings for me but his shifts changed, and I was stuck.
That was not a problem for Lesley at MQ Estate Agents. She sorted out someone else to do the viewings and things just took off.
It was New Year and not the best time to sell a property but with Move Quick’s help, I found a buyer almost straight away.
I have dealt with estate agents in England and all I got was problems.
MQ Estate Agents was a different experience altogether. You all did a fantastic job!”
Fergus Ewing, selling a two-bedroom cottage flat in Burntisland.
We went with MQ Estate Agents and our house was snapped up in 10 days!
“I had a strong attachment to our house. We had been in it 20 years and bought it off-plan before it was even built. I was in the forces in Germany at the time. The house ticked all the boxes for us; it was the biggest one available, all the amenities were close by and my wife’s relations were just down the road.
When improving the garden, which was on a slope, I personally dug around 100 tons of earth with just a shovel and a wheelbarrow.
So when it came to selling it, I wanted to make sure things were done properly. I read the testimonials on the MQ Estate Agents website and the people featured came across as genuine folk.
I noticed that properties for sale in Fife with other agents had been on the market for a while – I didn’t want that.
We went with MQ Estate Agents and our house was snapped up in 10 days!
We got lots of viewers through the door and when it went to a closing date, we had four offers.
On top of that, we managed to nearly achieve the Home Report value, which was great.
I am very happy with the service.”
Tony McWilliams, selling a four-bedroom detached property in Lochgelly, Fife.
Everyone looks for houses on their computer now, so a shop window advert really wasn’t too important.
“Being quite remote in the north of Scotland, I thought we might not get the same level of service than if we lived in the city.
How wrong were we. Our local estate agent shuts at 5pm and doesn’t work weekends.
Yet, when I looked into MQ Estate Agents, it seemed they were available 24/7.
Everyone looks for houses on their computer now, so a shop window advert really wasn’t too important.
We live quite near to John O’Groats but that didn’t stop MQ Estate Agents getting up here quickly to do a valuation.
It worked out perfect for us. They got our house on all the websites and it wasn’t long ‘till we got the viewers in.
We were buying another house near Inverness and were keen on a quick sale, which is what we got.
The only thing I would change is stronger poles for the MQ Estate Agents sign. It’s pretty windy up here, you know!”
Marlene Brookfield, selling a four-bedroom detached house in Castletown, Caithness.
We accepted an offer for exactly what the house was valued at, a week before Christmas
"We had a very exciting reason for putting our house on the market – we're emigrating to Australia!
My husband, Colin, and I are both paramedics and we have two daughters, Lauren, 13 and seven-year-old Rachel. The girls are of an age where we can do something for them, offer them a different lifestyle to growing up in Scotland.
We were out in Oz for a month in November, when our house was on the market here. The week we came back, we had two viewings and the sale went to a closing date. We accepted an offer of exactly what the house was valued at, a week before Christmas.
We were absolutely delighted. I was worried the sale may take a year or even two. But now that it's done, all we are waiting on now are our visas.
Move Quick kept us informed all the way along. I felt they took on board things I thought they should be doing. I have already recommended them to a number of my workmates. They were excellent."
Lynne Barclay, selling a five-bed detached villa near Airdrie in Lanarkshire
We could not believe how quickly it sold.
On top of that, I got more for the house than we were looking for
“My mum and dad are selling their house in the Spring – I’ve told them to look no further than MQ Estate Agents.
My wife and I were buying a bigger house in Dunfermline because we’re hoping to start a family.
I was busy with work but Richard came out to speak to my wife. She said he was really friendly and within a few days, the house was on the MQ Estate Agents website.
It sold in five days.
Every time someone inquired about our property or requested a Home Report, we were informed within minutes. I’m told other estate agents can take days to let you know.
I had also read up on the MQ Estate Agents testimonials and liked what I saw.
We could not believe how quickly it sold. We had to tell the company we are buying our new house from that it went in a week – even they couldn’t believe it!
On top of that, I got more for the house than we were looking for. It was brilliant.”
Gary Ewen, selling a three-bedroom end terrace villa in Rosyth, Fife.
There were five viewers in just three days
“I thought there would be an initial flurry of interest in my house and then, when that died down, it would sit on the market for quite a while.
How wrong was I? There were five viewers in just three days and the first woman to see it made me an offer within 10 days.
A lot of estate agents shut up shop at five o’clock at night and don’t open on Sundays. But at MQ Estate Agents, I could get answers from them at night and even at the weekend.
I just needed an estate agent that would sell my property as quickly as possible, at a reasonable price. Move Quick were everything I wanted and then some.
I was delighted with the result.
MQ Estate Agents offer a great way to sell your home.”
Cherie Gunn, selling a two-bedroom semi in Cullen, Moray.
I would have no hesitation in using MQ Estate Agents again or recommending them to anyone thinking of selling their home.”
“My son decided to emigrate to Australia and kindly left me the job of selling his home in Scotland.
By sheer chance, I picked up something with MQ Estate Agents’s name on it and thought I would give them a try.
I have to say they have been excellent. I couldn’t fault them.
I’ve found that standards of customer service in this country has fallen dramatically in the last 10 years – but not at MQ Estate Agents.
Some companies can be completely faceless; you never know who you are talking to.
But MQ Estate Agents turned up when they said they would, questions were answered right away and the house was sold within a few weeks.
Actually, I was very impressed. I would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to anyone thinking of selling their home.”
Elizabeth Elliot, selling a three-bedroom flat in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh.
I was keen to get the place sold but I was attracted by MQ Estate Agents’s ‘no up-front fees’ policy.
“I’ve got a busy job as Cabin Manager of an airline's crew so when it came to selling my flat, I didn’t want any hassle.
I planned to move to a two-bed house in Redding, Falkirk. I wasn’t aware of the MQ Estate Agents brand until I was driving past my mum’s house one day.
There was a “For Sale” sign in the garden and I thought I’d give them a try.
Barry came to see me and things moved on swiftly from there. You couldn’t fault the advice he gave me. I sold the flat to the first viewer!
It took just two weeks, a lot less than I had been expecting. I was keen to get the place sold but I was attracted by MQ Estate Agents’s ‘no up-front fees’ policy.
I had invested all my savings in the property so the fact that I did not need to find the cash in advance of the sale was a real bonus.
It was all very straightforward, just how you would like it to be. And no hassle.”
Kirsty McIntosh, selling a two bedroom flat in New Carron Village, Falkirk.
They worked really hard for us.
MQ Estate Agents staff were lovely; we could not have asked for better.
“We got really concerned when the person buying our house pulled out at the last minute – but we needn’t have worried.
MQ Estate Agents staff were there with all the reassurance we needed.
No sooner had they put it back on the market than the viewers began piling in again. And the person who pulled out of the deal actually came back to buy it.
MQ Estate Agents staff were lovely; we could not have asked for better.
They worked really hard for us. They kept us informed of any interest and when we had any questions, they got answers for us right away.
Selling your home is stressful at the best of times but when things took a turn for the worse, I began to get really uptight.
Talking to MQ Estate Agents made me feel better and the deal went through in the end.
I’d say they are well worth the money.”
Wilma Forbes, selling her three bedroom terraced house near Brechin, Angus.
We could get the same level of service from MQ Estate Agents for less money."
"I did my homework before I selected an estate agent.
We looked at other top estate agents and discovered we could get the same level of service from MQ Estate Agents for less money.
One of the major selling points was the fact that there were no upfront fees to pay. MQ Estate Agents even took care of paying for our Home Report in advance.
The sale itself was surprisingly quick. From the initial call to MQ Estate Agents to moving into our new home took just 66 days.
We were also surprised at the number of viewers we got in the first week – there were plenty of them.
The first person who put in an offer eventually got it, paying a price we were happy with.
I would definitely say MQ Estate Agents are good. They sold our house in a very short period of time.”
Tony Fearon, selling a three-bedroom mid-terrace property in Erskine, Renfrewshire.
I would highly recommend MQ Estate Agents to anyone.
“I was asked where I would rate MQ Estate Agents, on a scale of one to 10. I give them a 20.
Honest to God, I could not believe the speed with which they managed to sell my house.
It went on the website on the Tuesday, I had viewers on Thursday and by Friday morning, it was sold! Now, that is moving quick.
I have been suffering serious mobility problems and I had become a prisoner in my top-floor flat; we had to move.
I would highly recommend MQ Estate Agents to anyone. Barry was brilliant and the way they got viewers through my door so quickly took my breath away.
They paid for everything, including my Home Report.
There’s only one complaint – there wasn’t time to get a For Sale board in my garden. The house sold too quickly. Only joking.”
Caroline Boyle, selling a three-bedroom flat in Edinburgh’s Holyrood.
I was surprised by how quickly things went.
“Let me just say right away I am MQ Estate Agents’s number one fan.
I thought it would take me six months to sell my house – instead it went in a fortnight!
Amazingly, the people who bought it used to live in the house and it was their first house after they got married.
The chap actually said to me:”That’s the same door I put in!” They are buying the house for their daughter.
I was surprised by how quickly things went. It went on the market on the Thursday, the people came to see it the following Thursday and within two weeks it was sold.
MQ Estate Agents’s Daniel was so nice, so was the photographer. Even the staff in the office were brilliant.
MQ Estate Agents? They are excellent.”
Anne McFarlane, selling a three-bedroom sandstone house in Galston, Ayrshire.
“My wife, Arlene, and I are both retired and were looking to move back near her roots in Banff.
We saw MQ Estate Agents’s ‘for sale’ sign in the garden of a lovely cottage and made an arrangement to view it. We liked what we saw and decided that as soon as we sold our own property, we would put in an offer.
It made sense to use MQ Estate Agents to sell our house as well. We thought it would be easier if there was just the one company involved.
I have no complaints about the way things went – our own house sold in just four weeks, which allowed us to move on the other property.
The staff at MQ Estate Agents are nice people. The fact that our home sold in only four weeks speaks for itself!”
Dennis Malone, selling a three bedroom house in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire, and buying a detached cottage in Banff.
The house was sold within weeks. Not just that, they were able to negotiate an offer in excess of the asking price
“We had been trying to sell our house for ages – it was on the books of one local estate agent for a whole two years.
It was a big property – 18 rooms in total – and because we live near the sea, it took quite a bit to maintain.
We took it off the market for about a year before deciding to give MQ Estate Agents a chance.
The house was sold within weeks. Not just that, they were able to negotiate an offer in excess of the asking price. This will make things easier when we go to buy another house.
I am delighted with the service I got from MQ Estate Agents. Knowing that the property had sold came as a huge relief.”
Colin McNaught, former owner of a detached villa in Fairlie, North Ayrshire.
within a week I had a verbal offer."
“I guess I used my eyes and ears before deciding to go with MQ Estate Agents.
When I saw sale boards outside properties, I noticed that a lot of the MQ Estate Agents ones had ‘Under Offer’ on them.
I used my ears to listen to people who had some experience of the company – and all I got were good reports.
Finally, I had a look at the MQ Estate Agents website and was encouraged by the positive views on the Testimonials page.
I was told my house would come up as a new listing but even then, I was surprised by the number of viewers it generated.
It went ‘live’ on the Sunday and within a week I had a verbal offer, which I was happy to accept.
It was so quick, it caught me on the hop a bit and I was worried I had nowhere to go. But I’m settled in my new place in a village now – MQ Estate Agents were excellent.”
Debbie Clark, Selling a cottage flat in Knightswood, Glasgow.
The fact that there were no upfront fees to pay was a big attraction."
"It is a good way to get your property onto the market without having to make a big financial commitment.
I also liked the testimonials, which pointed to a reliable, proactive company.
I had a steady flow of viewers and managed to sell the property within the timescale I expected.
I was very impressed with MQ Estate Agents. They kept me fully-informed and gave me good advice when I needed it.
Yes, I would recommend them without a moment’s hesitation.”
Lewis Tait, Selling two-bedroom Cottage near Falkirk.
“MQ Estate Agents got us on every property website imaginable – a local estate agent would never have managed that.
Selkirk is a bit out of the way and many national estate agents would not have been interested in selling my home – not Move Quick. Distance didn’t seem to bother them one bit.
Richard came down and gave us everything, detail by detail, and answered any questions we had.
Of course, it really helped that we did not have to pay any fees upfront.
The office staff, too, were excellent. If we had any queries, they either answered them straight away or went off and got the answer.
I was so pleased when the sale went through. I would definitely use MQ Estate Agents again and would happily recommend them to anyone selling their home. They were brilliant.”
Clare O’Hara, selling a one-bedroom flat in Selkirk.
“I wasn’t taking any chances. I wanted a proactive estate agency so I opted for MQ Estate Agents. It really helped that there were no upfront fees. I got my Home Report paid for me and didn’t need to pay anything until the flat was sold.
MQ Estate Agents office staff were good as well. They would phone me to let me know when they had viewers lined up.
After my property sold at a closing date, another house near me suddenly had a MQ Estate Agents sign in its garden. It had been on the market for ages with someone else. I’m sure it won't take long to sell!”
Bruce Ross-Hamilton, selling a two bedroom flat in Chesser, Edinburgh
“I was very impressed with the MQ Estate Agents service, especially the attention to detail shown by Richard.
He came out to do the photographs of my flat but it was a bit overcast. He decided he’d come back when it was a bit brighter. The result was a set of excellent pictures which showed the flat at its best.
My flat went ‘live’ on the Thursday and by Monday, MQ Estate Agents phoned to tell me they had found a buyer. That sale fell through but it was fantastic how quickly the company got it back on the website. Again, within a week it had sold and this time I got a bit over the Home Report valuation.
I was pretty sure the flat would sell. It was a lovely place with terrific panoramic views over Glasgow.
Still, I was told that if I had been selling the flat a year before, it would have taken eight months to move.
I would certainly recommend MQ Estate Agents. The service was excellent, particularly when the first sale fell through. They had more viewers through my door within days. They were tremendous."
Gillian Dobbie, selling a two bedroom flat in Glasgow’s west end.
“I had a look at the MQ Estate Agents website and was particularly impressed with the testimonials from clients. They were all really positive and seemed to reflect a company with a ‘can do’ attitude.
I was selling up after my mother died. The proceeds would give me a bit of money to allow me to set up a plumbing business of my own.
My God, did MQ Estate Agents live up to their name? They got people through the door and the house was sold in just six weeks.
In my new job, I will be visiting a lot of people in their homes. Some of them will be looking to sell so I will be a walking advert for MQ Estate Agents; I’ll be telling everyone to go with them!
I’d rather still have my mum, of course, but selling the house so quickly has allowed me to move on with my life.”
Fraser McKillop, selling a two-bedroom end terrace villa in Gourock
“I saw the name MQ Estate Agents
and wondered if they would be able to move me quick.
I am moving from my own place to a council house because of my health.
The service I got from MQ Estate Agents was really good. Richard came out and explained everything to me; Hannah in the office was brilliant too, phoning me up regularly whether there was any news or not.
I was a bit worried when my next door neighbor put his house up for sale as well. His place was much better than mine as he had recently modernised it.
But - after a few months – my place was sold and my neighbour’s is still on the market!
Honestly, MQ Estate Agents were excellent for me.”
Ressa Brady, selling a two-bed shipyard cottage in Glasgow.
“This was my first-ever flat so I had no experience of having to sell a property.
I feel a bit guilty admitting it now – but even after Richard visited me, I sought alternative quotes from other estate agents.
When I reflected on them, I felt that Richard would do the job I wanted. I was totally comfortable with him throughout the process.
We were aware of what was going on in the market and had an idea of what similar properties were selling for.
Ours sold in less than a week!
We are moving in with my in-laws for a couple of months before our new-build house is ready in Eaglesham.
It’s all been something of a learning process. I’m delighted we plumped for MQ Estate Agents.”
Megan Dinnen, selling a top-floor tenement flat in Cathcart, Glasgow.
“I thought it would take months and months to sell my house so I wasn’t prepared for it going in just three weeks.
In fact, it sold so quickly, I hadn’t even thought about where we would move to. We have managed to put the entry date back a couple of weeks to give us time to go house-hunting. Still, it’s a nice problem to have!
The house we were in became too small because my family had started moving back in, just when you expect them to go.
The MQ Estate Agents service was great. The office staff were lovely – I was particularly attracted by the fact you don’t have any up-front fees.
Maybe we’ll rent in future. It will give us the freedom to move about as we please.”
Karen Crosbie, selling a two-bedroom flat in Kirkcaldy.
“My partner and I are fed up with the Scottish weather. I am retired after 38 years with the Royal Mail so we decided we deserved a bit of sunshine.
We found the MQ Estate Agents service was smashing. We sold within two weeks, which was amazing considering the current climate in the housing market. There was no hassle and the communication was excellent.
I would tell anyone who was thinking about MQ Estate Agents “Go for it”. It certainly worked out for us.
I hear they’re forecasting snow for Edinburgh in October. It won’t bother us – we’re heading off to Gran Canaria for a new life in the sun!”
David Campbell, selling a two bedroom lower villa in Edinburgh.
“I knew we were in a popular area and houses were selling fast. But that still did not prepare me for the speed of the Move Quick service.
I was expecting to get a sale within a month but finding a buyer within five days left me in a state of shock!
The house went on the website on the Friday and we accepted an offer on the following Wednesday morning.
We were delighted, absolutely delighted. We are moving up north, near to John O’Groats, to try and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I initially spoke to Richard last year. It was he who swung us towards going with MQ Estate Agents. He was honest and straightforward. The figures were simple; if we don’t sell your house, you don’t pay.
Now we’re heading off for the Good Life. Cheers."
Sarah Cummings, selling a lower quarter villa in Edinburgh
“Choosing MQ Estate Agents landed me with a major problem – they sold my house so fast, I’m struggling to find another place to stay!
I thought I might still be trying to sell it this time next year but they actually found a buyer in just nine days.
My house is a bit out of the way, so I thought I’d find it difficult to sell.
I started off by having a look at the MQ Estate Agents website. I found it really easy to navigate and, looking at the testimonials, it seemed everyone was happy.
Richard came to see me. At first, I wanted to sell the house to Move Quick but he advised me I’d get more if we put it on the market. He was right – I got a better price that way.
If anyone was to ask me what I think of the MQ Estate Agents service I would say ‘absolutely brilliant’.
It was my dream to sell the place within three months…. but nine days was a huge bonus. I could not believe it.”
Marlene Hay, selling a four bed detached house near Dundee.
“It was great selling my house but even better when I found out it was a cash buyer.
That meant there was no mucking about, waiting for them to get a mortgage. Coincidentally, my brother sold his house on the same day with another company – and he’s still waiting for his money.
I had been renting out the house for a while but I got fed up and just decided to put it on the market.
I did look at a number of companies but one reason I went for MQ Estate Agents was their website – it’s very impressive.
Things just kind of kicked off and I got a flood of viewers.
If someone asked me if they should go with MQ Estate Agents, I’d say give them a bash. They’re very good.”
Scott Dow, selling a four-bedroom detached property in Aberfeldy
“People sometimes wait a long time to sell their house – for me, it was a long weekend!
The flat went on the MQ Estate Agents site on the Friday and I had an offer in by the close of play on the Monday.
I was looking for a quick sale and accepted the offer straight away. I was amazed!
MQ Estate Agents was the first company I called when I decided to put my place on the market.
Richard came out to see me and he answered all the questions I had. The first person who came to view it put in an offer just hours later.
Now, I’m moving to Milngavie with a fresh start with my girlfriend. I’m delighted.”
Peter McNally, selling a two-room flat in Clydebank
“My involvement with MQ Estate Agents was a bit back-to-front. We were looking at a house in Law, Lanarkshire, where MQ Estate Agents were the selling agents.
“I liked what I saw and thought it would be good to use the company to try and sell our own first.
“I had previous experience of selling a house, when it took 18 months to find a buyer. So, after our last foray into the house-selling market, I was expecting to have to wait months if not years.
“Boy, was I wrong! It went ‘live’ on the web on the Wednesday and it was sold the following Tuesday. Oh, and there was the Easter Weekend in between!
“You could have knocked me down with a feather. It was better than Christmas Day.
“We went back to the house in Law and made an offer on the day after we sold our own place. So we sold with MQ Estate Agents one day and bought through them the next – now that’s really moving quick.”
Robert Niven, selling a bungalow in Overtown, Wishaw.
“Contacting MQ Estate Agents was the smartest thing I have done in years.
“I wanted to MQ Estate Agents because I was moving across the country and did not have time to muck about.
“I soon discovered that MQ Estate Agents really lives up to its name. The house went on the web on the Thursday night and on the Friday, I was told that they had lined up two viewers for me.
“It took me by surprise because I had not got the house looking exactly the way I wanted it – I didn’t think anything would happen for a week or so.
“Still, one of those viewers made me an offer on the spot and we decided to go to a closing date on the Tuesday!
“Two offers came in and I got the figure I had been thinking of from the word go.
“I was hugely impressed with the MQ Estate Agents service – every viewer they came up with was in a position to buy.
“I was delighted. As far as I am concerned, MQ Estate Agents are worth every penny they charge. You could not ask for more from an estate agent.”
Bob MacLean, selling a one-bedroom flat in the centre of Perth.
“I liked the reliability of MQ Estate Agents. They also went through the process and the photographs were fantastic. If the team at MQ Estate Agents said they were coming at a certain time, then that was when they arrived.
They also went out of their way to suit our work times, so neither my husband, William, nor I had to take time off. We were looking for a quick sale but we never expected it to be as quick as it was – just three weeks.
Move Quick kept us in touch with what was happening. If we had any viewers they would give us plenty notice and kept us up to date with feedback.
The house sale went to a closing date and we got an offer happily accepted.”
Isabel Laurie, selling her two-bedroom semi in Glasgow.
“My husband, Peter, and I had a dream about returning to Blairgowrie, where we originally come from.
We found the perfect house, which would allow us to be near our family, and put our own home on the market with MQ Estate Agents.
It sold in a day. But our joy was short-lived because the couple who made the successful bid were unable to proceed.
This caused us a lot of stress because we only had a verbal agreement to buy the home we wanted in Blairgowrie.
And we were worried that if someone else came in for it, we would lose our dream home.
Lesley at MQ Estate Agents was brilliant. She went back to the only other couple who had bid for our property and we ended up getting a price we were happy with.
Now, we are preparing to move for the first time in more than 25 years…..and you do collect a lot of stuff over quarter of a century!
I couldn’t fault MQ Estate Agents’s service – it was excellent and I’ve already recommended them to friends who are thinking about moving themselves.”
Katharine Henderson, selling a two-bedroom terraced cottage in Dundee.
“It was the flexibility of MQ Estate Agents that first attracted me to their service.
The fact that they’re open seven days a week, up to 8.30pm at night suggested they were a company that would make a real effort to sell your home.
Barry came out to see me and offered me a good deal. I wanted a quick sale but I could not afford to drop the price too much.
In the end, my house sold within six months for the price I wanted to get. The girl who bought my house decided she would ask MQ Estate Agents to sell her house – and it went in two months.
I was thrilled by the service I got from MQ Estate Agents – it was that good.
I would have no problem recommending them to anyone.”
Claire Dobson, selling a four-bedroom detached property in Uddingston, Lanarkshire.
“I am a former policeman with 33 years experience – you get a feel for people.
The minute Stuart from MQ Estate Agents walked in the door, we knew we had just met a guy you could do business with….someone you could trust to do well for you.
Other estate agents we had spoken to were hiding behind a string of hidden charges. They had a bad attitude, as if they were doing you a favour trying to sell your house!
The MQ Estate Agents photos were superb; our house looked fantastic.
Within a week, we had three viewers and it sold after the third viewing. Also, we got exactly the price we were looking for.
I think it’s pretty stunning to sell a house in eight days in today’s market.
I can’t speak highly enough of the MQ Estate Agents service. We have already recommended them to three other people.
Honestly, I’d give MQ Estate Agents 11 out of 10.”
William Thomson, selling a five-bedroom upper conversion in Saltcoats, Ayrshire.
“The thing I liked about MQ Estate Agents was the friendly service – they would phone you up to let you know who was showing an interest in the house.
I got five or six viewers in the space of three months , which was more than my previous estate agent produced in a year.
I was very impressed with the service. It was totally seamless, without any hiccups or hitches.
The performance of my previous estate agent was terrible. I began Googling to see what other estate agents or property management companies were out there.
MQ Estate Agents staff were very friendly and the chap who came out to see me was superb. He explained things clearly to me, which made my life a lot easier.
And we were happy with the price – switching to MQ Estate Agents certainly worked out fine for us.
We would definitely go to them again if we were buying or selling.”
Eoin Lundy, selling a three-bedroom bungalow in Glencarse, near Perth.
“Our move was a bit unusual in that I’m in my 50’s and my wife and I have decided to upsize.
Our kids are still with us and we just felt we needed a bit more room so that our children could have more of their friends round.
We placed our house with an online home selling company but in an entire year, we didn’t have a single inquiry or viewer.
They did nothing else; no advice on how the market was doing or what prices were being paid for properties.
Once we switched to MQ Estate Agents, we experienced a far more pro-active approach.
Richard said it was MQ Estate Agents’s job to get the viewers in and to negotiate the price.
That advice paid dividends; within a week, we had four viewers through the door.
And by doing that, it allowed us to buy the house we wanted.
Within a month of going with MQ Estate Agents, we had sold our house – and I don’t think you can expect any better than that!”
Derrick Ross, selling the family’s three-bedroom detached house in Airth, Stirlingshire.
“My mum was selling her home so that she could go into sheltered accommodation.
Though it had been with another estate agent for a year, we hadn’t got a single viewer in 12 months.
They only advertised it on their own website, which meant it was not easy to see.
We started to look around for another agent. It was important to get a quick sale, with no up-front fees to pay.
The difference we found with MQ Estate Agents was immediate. Within two weeks, we had five or six viewers through the door and a few weeks later, it was sold.
The person who had bought it had earlier been in the house to see my mum when she was sick. She appreciated the big difference I had made in that time, tending to the garden, fitting a new kitchen and putting in a shower.
My mum is so pleased, she has passed MQ Estate Agents’s number to a friend of hers, who is still trying to sell her house with that other estate agent….two years on.
I am so pleased, I think I’ll have my own house valued by MQ Estate Agents as well!”
David McLean, helping his mum sell her three-bedroom home in Buckpool, Buckie.
“I didn’t hold out a great deal of hope in selling my house quickly.
Properties in my village have not been moving much in the last few years.
So you could have knocked me down with a feather when MQ Estate Agents told me I had a viewer within a week of it going on the market.
What’s even better, it sold the next day!
It turned out the girl coming to see my flat just loved the pictures MQ Estate Agents had taken and she couldn’t wait to see the property.
When she did view it, she found my next door neighbour was a friend of hers; they had gone to school together.
I almost achieved the full Home Report value, which is really saying something these days.
And I never felt uncomfortable with Stuart coming to my house. We got on well, he’s a really nice chap. I felt he was giving me genuine advice, not trying to pull the wool over my eyes.
Not like another estate agent I could mention. He was so negative, I almost asked him to leave my house!
I was delighted with the service from MQ Estate Agents.”
P Andrews, selling a two-bedroom flat in Newburgh, Fife.
“There’s only one word to describe the way we felt when our house went on the market – inundated.
At one point, we had five couples – and their bairns – viewing the house. You would think there was a party going on!
The inquiries began within hours of MQ Estate Agents taking on the job. I had a bad experience with another company so really didn’t expect things to happen so quickly.
The house went on the market on the Thursday and it sold at a closing date the following Wednesday – less than a week.
I was delighted with the service I got. Richard came to see us – he was smart and sophisticated.
Everything he told us came true….especially the bit about it not being on the market for long.”
Neil MacDonald, selling a four-bedroom house in Dunfermline, Fife.
“Only a few homes in our town have sold for the Home Report valuation – and ours was one of them.
There were just 18 days between putting the house on the market and the sale being agreed.
I can’t believe how smoothly things went. Stuart was brilliant – anything I needed to know I would just call him up and he’d explain it.
Another estate agent had suggested we go for £10,000 more than MQ Estate Agents but we knew that we would never get that.
We had bought at the top of the market so we thought we might take a bit of a loss by selling it.
But, in the end, we got what we were looking for.
I would recommend Move Quick – without a doubt!”
Lorraine Bostock, selling a three-bedroom home in Armadale, West Lothian.
“I sold a house in St Andrews a few years back and got stuck for £13,000 in fees by the estate agent. I was disgusted.
By contrast, MQ Estate Agents provided fantastic value for money for selling my quirky home in Cellardyke, Anstruther.
It was built over three levels and Stuart from MQ Estate Agents said he had never seen a house like it.
My father-in-law has cancer and we needed to MQ Estate Agentsly to Methil in Fife to be close to him.
MQ Estate Agents’s service was faultless. Everything was done when promised, phone calls were returned swiftly.
Just after New Year, we had two viewers through the door on the same day and the place sold shortly afterwards.
Now, we’re off to start afresh and give my wife’s dad the help he needs.”
Grant Ness, selling an old town house in Cellardyke in Anstruther.
“To say I am happy with MQ Estate Agents is an understatement – I rate them 100 per cent.
I’ve got a couple of flats in the Edinburgh area. My daughter was moving out of her place in Prestonfield Bank and I decided to put it on the market.
The service was superb. People would come and view it and MQ Estate Agents staff would be on the phone right away, giving me feedback.
It was the toughest time of year to sell anything – over Christmas and New Year – but the flat sold in the third month and I was happy with the price achieved.
I am so delighted with the way things went, I’ve placed another of my flats with MQ Estate Agents. And a family member is putting their’s with the company as well.
I just couldn’t fault them!”
Paul Russell, owner of a one-bedroom flat in Edinburgh.
“We put our place up for sale in late October, not the best time of the year to try and find a buyer.
We had seen properties in our area stick for ages but we set our heart on a quick sale.
By going with MQ Estate Agents, the house was sold by the middle of November!
In fact, the first viewer put in an offer the next day and ended up getting it.
We were very pleased indeed. Getting everything done and dusted before Christmas was a big bonus for us.
Would I recommend Move Quick? I’d say that if you want a quick sale, they are definitely the people to go to.
We had no problems whatsoever.”
Graham Lumsden, selling a one-bedroom flat in Perth.
“Our house had been on the market for 10 months before we switched to MQ Estate Agents.
It had been with a firm of solicitors and I didn’t think there was any urgency shown towards moving properties.
I did some research on the internet and liked the layout of the MQ Estate Agents website. The fact that there were no upfront fees was a bonus, too.
Things really started moving after that. We had a handful of viewers in the first few days – and an offer within the week!
What I liked about Move Quick was that everyone was honest with me. I found Richard really helpful.
The quick sale means we can now move on with our lives.”
Susan Porter, selling a three-bedroom detached house in Falkirk.
“I had never sold a house before, so I was on the phone to Stuart all the time, asking about this and that. I didn’t even know you needed a solicitor to complete the sale.
But nothing was too much trouble for him – the service I got was excellent. I’d give it A-plus all the way.
I’m moving down to England to run a pub. I’m a people person, I’d talk to anyone.
When it came to selling up here, I had noticed estate agent signs in my area that had been up for months – so I did some research on the internet and found MQ Estate Agents.
The website was self-explanatory and easy to understand. The house sold in four weeks. I’m delighted.”
Paul Mack, seller of a three-bedroom home in Rumbleton, Glenrothes in Fife.
“I did not believe
Richard when he said he could sell my house in a week.
I inherited the property from my father, who had passed away. The house was needing a lot of work done; in fact, it needed gutted.
To be honest, I thought it would be on the market for months and we’d have to keep it heated over the Winter.
But the house went on the market on the Thursday – and it sold at a closing day the following Friday!
I was so impressed. It has come as a huge relief. All my friends could not believe it had sold so quickly.
I am a very happy bunny.”
Lesley Tod, selling her late father’s semi-detached house in Dundee.
“It was the quality of the viewers MQ Estate Agents sent us that set them apart from the other estate agent we had been using. That, and the fact that there were no upfront fees, which was a huge bonus.
Our property had been on the market with another company for about seven months. We did get viewers but there was never a feeling there was any genuine interest; they still had to sell their own house first.
We had already bought another property so we found ourselves in a difficult position.
With MQ Estate Agents, the viewers were all in a position to buy.
The overall service we got was very professional. Lesley was very good, giving us a weekly report on how many people had viewed online and how many requests there had been for the schedule.
I would certainly go with them again and would be happy to recommend MQ Estate Agents to anyone.”
Jacki Winter sold her traditional villa in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
“Getting near to Christmas, I thought I might struggle to sell my house.
I suppose I was resigned to waiting until the New Year or even longer before finding a buyer.
But it was only on the market with MQ Estate Agents 10 days before I received an offer.
We are moving to Dunfermline because the house is too big for us, now that the family have moved away.
The MQ Estate Agents service was really good. A couple came on the Saturday, another viewer came on the Tuesday and by Friday, we had our offer. “It was no bother at all.”
Allan Sinclair, selling his four-bedroom home in Edinburgh.
“I was being strung along by one of those fast house-sale companies.
It was November 2011 and I was trying to find a buyer for my mother’s flat as she had moved in with us.
This company told me they had found someone that wanted the property and told me the deal would be completed by Christmas.
But Christmas came and went and the company kept giving me different excuses, eventually admitting the buyer couldn’t get a mortgage.
In mid-June, my wife heard the MQ Estate Agents advert on the radio and I called them up.
The difference was night and day. Barry kept me up-to-date with everything that was going on.
Eight weeks later, and the flat was sold. The whole process had started almost 11 months before but it took MQ Estate Agents to get a sale – and at a price we were happy with.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone.”
Duncan McNeil, selling a two-bedroom flat in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire.
“A neighbour in my street sold with MQ Estate Agents a few months ago – and I was impressed by how quickly the ‘For Sale’ board came down!
She filled me in with how good your service was. So much so, I didn’t need to ask too many questions when I came to you as Irene had answered them all for me.
The house went on your site at the end of the week….I had my first viewer on the Saturday and by Sunday I had a verbal offer. It was confirmed in writing on the Monday.
The service was very very good. You did for me what you did for my neighbour, Irene.
I had never sold a house before and thought the whole process would be much harder than it was.
My mother and I are now settling into our new place in Cambuslang – and Irene’s a neighbour here too!”
Vicky Gray, who quickly sold her four-bedroom home in Rutherglen.
“The house of our dreams came on the market and my husband and I decided to go for it.
We only had a narrow window of opportunity. If we couldn’t sell our own home quickly, then we would have lost it.
I went to another estate agency, who said they couldn’t even see me for a week.
But by going with Move Quick, the house was on the market before the other estate agent could even see me…..and the third person who viewed it, bought it.
Oh My God. We were so over the moon. The weight was suddenly lifted from our shoulders.
MQ Estate Agents’s approach is so sensible. You are so realistic. Right from the moment it went on your site, we had viewers.
We only had days to sell our house and you sold it. Now, I’m preparing for Christmas in my new dream home.”
Cara Connell, former owner of a three-bedroom semi in Blackhill, Glasgow.
“I run my own heating company and I know what it means to provide good service.
MQ Estate Agents? They are different class!
The house had been in our family for 40 years but I wanted to sell it so I could invest in my business.
It had been on the market with a large estate agency chain and it was actually sold – but the deal fell through.
Suffice to say that when I switched to MQ Estate Agents, they generated more interest in two weeks than the previous company did in five months.
Richard was dynamite; he kept me informed of everything that was going on.
In the office, Jen and Hannah were terrific.
The house sold in under six weeks. I’ve already recommended MQ Estate Agents to my best mate, who’s selling up.
I have used a variety of companies in the past to sell property. Let me tell you, they can’t touch Move Quick!”
Robert Ronald, former owner of a three-bedroom mid-terrace house in Livingston
“I’ve recommended MQ Estate Agents to so many people, I think I deserve commission!
Whether it’s in the pub or at work, I tell anyone selling their house they’re wasting their time if they’re not with MQ Estate Agents.
I’d been hearing their advert on the radio so much, I thought to myself “I’m going to give them a call.”
Richard came out to see me and he was different class. If I had any doubts, Lesley in the office gave me peace of mind.
The first people to see my house bought it. It was sold within two weeks.
Now we’re moving to a smaller place nearby. Price-wise, we might not have got exactly what we were looking for but – on the other hand – we managed to get our new place cheaper as well.
MQ Estate Agents are absolutely 100 per cent fantastic – a brilliant company.”
John McKay, who sold his three-bedroom home in “sunny” Leith.
“I had a dreadful experience with a fast house-selling business.
The first time they came to see me, they offered a ridiculous amount for my property. I said ‘no’.
Without contacting them again, they came back a month later and offered a better deal and I said ‘fine’.
They told me my house was sold and when I asked if it was safe for me to offer for another property, they told me “Go for it!”
I was given a moving date of June 8 but could not get hold of this company on the phone.
When I did get them, they denied things had gone that far – and told me the woman buying my home couldn’t get a mortgage. I nearly died.
My mum loaned me the money, which allowed me to move. I called MQ Estate Agents in a right state.
In a matter of weeks, MQ Estate Agents had found a buyer for my place. The contrast to the way the other company did business was immense. As soon as Barry and his colleague came out to see me, I knew I was dealing with an entirely different business – they were so smart!
The relief was enormous. I had been worried about my mum lending me the money and not being able to repay it.
And after the ‘offer’ the other company made me, MQ Estate Agents got me significantly more.
They were absolutely brilliant. I don’t know what I would have done without them.”
Karen, selling a two bedroom flat in Glasgow.
“We inherited a house from my mother-in-law but we didn’t have the money needed to put it on the market.
We had it up for sale for a while but nobody seemed to have the money to buy it because of the recession.
Two so-called ‘experts’ came to see it from a fast house-buying company but they never came up with anything.
When I contacted MQ Estate Agents, I thought they would buy it from me. But Barry said he could get me more if we went through his estate agency.
It was brilliant. The house sold within two to three weeks. We got more for it than we thought we would get and significantly more than the ‘experts’ had suggested.
I would recommend MQ Estate Agents to anyone. In fact. I have already told a friend who’s selling her house that she should consider only one company!”
Jackie Sloan, selling an upper villa in Edinburgh.
“We had never sold a house before so the help we got from MQ Estate Agents was fantastic.
My wife heard the advert on the radio and we phoned up to make an appointment.
Richard came out to see us and he was as nice as ninepence. Everything was explained to us and we even got help finding a lawyer near to us.
When the house went on the website, it was only a few days before Move Quick told us they had a viewer.
He came in, asked how much we wanted and that was it. The place was sold to the first person who had seen it!
It was a nice property, with a large garden to the front and rear and two parking spaces.
But I’m delighted with the way MQ Estate Agents sold it and managed to get the money we wanted.”
James Shanks, selling a three double bedroom home in Bo’ness.
“My house was on the books of another estate agent for four months. In the first two months, we did not have a single viewer.
When we did get the odd viewer, we got no feedback from our agent. It was a complete nightmare.
I heard the MQ Estate Agents jingle on the radio and thought I had nothing to lose. I spoke to Lesley in the office, who arranged everything.
Suddenly, the house sale was being done professionally. I was being kept up-to-date with how things were going and when we did get viewers, we got to hear what they thought about my home.
It sold within six weeks.
It was brilliant. I am sad to be leaving my house but I was still relieved when I finally got it sold.
MQ Estate Agents is an absolutely fabulous company to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone.”
Linda McDonald, former owner of a semi-detached house in Kirkintilloch.
“I had stopped working and switched to receiving pension credit. But I still had some of my mortgage to pay off, so my savings were going down and down.
I knew that if I sold my flat and moved to rented accommodation, I would receive about £90 in rent rebate from the State, something you don’t get if you have a mortgage.
By the time it came to sell, there were one or two properties near me that had been on the market for a while.
But MQ Estate Agents lived up to its name – 10 days on the website and my flat was sold.
I am now moving to a smaller, rented, flat and will have some capital in the bank.
Oh, and those houses near me are still on the market!”
Sandy Potter, former owner of two-bedroom flat on Telford Road in Edinburgh.
“We are having to move to a bungalow because I can’t manage the stairs in my house any more.
I read about Barry’s story in the Sunday Mail and he sounded like a genuine guy, someone you could trust.
Things really worked out great. Our house sold in a day.
I guess you always want more for your house but with the way things are in the market just now, we were quite happy with the price.
Getting a quick sale meant that we were able to get a good deal on the bungalow we wanted – so it all balanced out in the end.
MQ Estate Agents staff were friendly and very efficient. It didn’t matter who you spoke to in the office, they always did everything they could to help you.”
Mrs Gina Ferguson, former owner of a villa in Musselburgh, East Lothian.
“I had been trying to sell my flat for six months with another estate agent and was getting fed up by the lack of activity.
I did a bit of detective work before I decided to switch to Move Quick. I noticed one of their boards going up outside a house for sale in Elderslie, near where I live.
I thought I’d wait to see how long it would be before the board came down. I couldn’t believe it when the house sold in days!
That gave me all the encouragement I needed to sign up with them. I had two viewers on the very day it went online, followed by two viewers a couple of days later.
The house sold on a closing date just seven days after MQ Estate Agents began to market it. And what’s more, I got a figure well in excess of what I had been expecting.
Lesley was fantastic throughout the whole process. It really is worth going to them.
If you want a quick sale and good value for money, you should go to Move Quick.”
Catherine White, former owner of modern three bed main door flat in Paisley.
“I had been in touch with another company, who had promised to sell my home in between six and eight weeks.
But they stopped taking my calls or answering my messages.
I decided to go with MQ Estate Agents because it was a Scottish company, which was important to me.
I wish I had picked them in the first place. The service I received was fantastic. Lesley spoke to me on the phone and made me confident right away.
“I spoke to her on the Monday and the flat was on the market by Wednesday. My first viewer came on Thursday evening and I had an acceptable offer on the Friday.
It was unreal.”
Steven Wilson, selling a cottage flat in Renfrew.
Jacqueline McLintock was trying to sell her country cottage, a former bakery. Sadly, her previous estate agent failed to rise to the occasion.
Despite its attractive location, Bridgend Cottage sat for two years on the market until, that is, MQ Estate Agents became involved.
Said Jacqueline:”Stuart came to see me on the Wednesday. It went online on the Friday and by the following Friday, it sold at a closing date.
“I could not believe it. We even got more for our house than the value in the Home Report.”
Asked what she thought of the MQ Estate Agents service, Jacqueline replied:”Brilliant. I would recommend them to anyone.
“When I pass a house that’s got a For Sale board outside, I want to go in and tell them not to waste their time – get MQ Estate Agents involved!”
Jacqueline and her family are now settling into their new home, built on three levels in Kinross in Perthshire.
As for MQ Estate Agents, having sold her former bakery, we’ve now got the recipe for success!
Jacqueline McLintock, former cottage owner near Kinross, Perthshire.
“I was going to go with a local estate agent when my husband mentioned that MQ Estate Agents had sold a house just around the corner.
We got the number and my daughter went on the net to check them out.
The service we received was excellent. I was so pleased, I phoned Lesley to tell her she is brilliant.
Everyone knows what the market is like; there is so much uncertainty about. But we sold in a week!
I am going into disabled housing so selling the house was a load off my mind. The person getting the house has got a good deal.
I’ve looked after the house, there’s a new kitchen and a big back and front garden.
MQ Estate Agents are excellent. I’d be very happy to recommend them to anyone.”
Irene O’Donnell, former owner of a three bedroom flat in Rutherglen.
“We are moving up to Oban, where my daughter has a home. The house we were after in the town had been on the market since last September. We were worried that it might take just as long when it came to selling our house in Edinburgh.
But, by going with MQ Estate Agents, we managed to find a buyer within two weeks!
Originally, we got quotes from three different estate agents. The other two wanted fees up front. But we felt that if MQ Estate Agents don’t get paid until the deal goes through, they would push harder to sell the house.
They have been absolutely fantastic. Richard could not have been more helpful and the office has managed to answer any questions we had.
I could not fault them.”
Robert Gibson, former owner of a semi-detached villa in Edinburgh.
“I was being put in an impossible position by Fife Council. My mother had to go into a nursing home because I had badly hurt my back and I wasn’t able to look after her.
But the council rules say that if you have a certain amount of money or property, you need to sell it to pay for your care.
My mum had a four-bedroom flat in Rutherglen but it had been empty for some years and needed completely redecorated.
The first estate agent who tried to sell it was hopeless – I had to pay him £470 and didn’t even get a viewer.
I am a karaoke singer and I heard the MQ Estate Agents advert on the radio. I shouted ‘that’s my song’ because it’s the one I sing best. I thought “I’ll give them a ring.”
The difference in attitude was amazing. The flat went to a closing date with MQ Estate Agents and I got two offers. I actually got £2000 more than I was wanting.
It took away all the pressure I was getting from the council to sell it. I would recommend MQ Estate Agents to anyone.
And I am still belting out my favourite song!”
Jean Murray, Anstruther.
“I lost my job in January and although I kept applying for things, there’s very little out there.
I did manage to get something else but it means moving to the Indian Ocean!
The big selling point in MQ Estate Agents’s favour was the fact that they deferred payment for me. It was great that there were no up-front fees to pay.
And the staff were fantastic in helping me out.
The first viewer through the door made an offer – and I accepted it straight away.
I took the view that I had made a tidy profit on the house and there was no point in being greedy.
I know this area and I know houses are going up for sale and people are hanging on for more money.
But I’m off to the Indian Ocean and see no point in holding out for more cash. It means I have a clean slate for a new start.
MQ Estate Agents’s staff? They were friendly, co-operative and informative. Just what I needed."
Douglas Wilkie, former owner of a two-bedroom flat in South Queensferry.
“My experience of MQ Estate Agents can be summed up in just a few words – one week, one viewer, one offer.
Really, it was as easy as that.
I had a four-bedroom town house in Dundee with river views. I wanted to find something on the flat, because my house had lots of stairs and I wanted a bigger garden.
I was attracted by MQ Estate Agents’s website; all the information I needed was there and it was easy to understand.
Other estate agencies were looking for money up-front and in some cases, their Home Report charge was £150 dearer.
We even got what we wanted price-wise. When we got the offer after seven days, I was not going to hang around, looking for more money. It could have been stuck a year if I had.
I am extremely satisfied with MQ Estate Agents’s service – I couldn’t have asked for more.”
Sheena Hannaway, Dundee.
“Our two-bedroom flat was on the market with another agency two years ago and it didn’t budge.
We put it up for sale with MQ Estate Agents on the Thursday….and it was sold on the Tuesday.
I had heard the MQ Estate Agents advert on the radio and thought I’d check out the website.
I liked how one of the people who had sold their house said MQ Estate Agents “did what it says on the tin.”
I am totally delighted. We had a lot of trouble with our former agency and never felt they had our interests at heart.
Barry convinced us that if we approached the sale realistically, it would go in our favour.
The fact that fees were deferred was another plus.
Around the time of the sale, my wife was having a baby. Yes, we’ve got sleepless nights now…..but not because of the house.
John McKinlay, Merrylee, Glasgow.
“What attracted us to MQ Estate Agents was the fact we did not have to pay any up-front fees. We just thought ‘what have we got to lose?’
The previous estate agent trying to sell our home just kept telling us to lower the price.
All that happened was a flood of ridiculous offers, way below what we considered acceptable.
MQ Estate Agents came in like a breath of fresh air. Richard came to our house to offer his services but at no point did we feel under pressure to sign up.
When we did sign up, things did move really quickly. It went on the website on the Friday and on Monday, Lesley phoned to say I could expect a viewer that night. The people put their offer in on the Tuesday, which we accepted.
MQ Estate Agents are fantastic. We couldn’t believe it when the house sold so fast and we’re so pleased, we’re telling everyone about them.”
Owners of a three-bedroom semi detached home in Wishaw.
“MQ Estate Agents was the first company we turned to. When Richard came to see us, we could tell he genuinely wanted to sell our flat.
We thought it might be worth our while to take a chance on a company that seemed to be hungry for our business.
I am so glad that we did. On the first day it was advertised, we had viewers and within two weeks, it was sold for what we were hoping for.
One of the benefits of that is that I only had to keep our house clean for two weeks; it’s very stressful having visitors round when you have a growing family.
MQ Estate Agents staff were excellent. They even helped me complete some forms I wasn’t very sure of. Going with them was a win-win situation.”
Angela Ross, Kelvindale, Glasgow
“I really thought I would struggle to sell my home. It’s only four years old, detached, situated in the Blackhill area of Glasgow.
It’s a regeneration area and I thought if homes in really nice areas are not moving, I’d have trouble finding a buyer.
I needn’t have worried. Lesley at MQ Estate Agents was really proactive, incredibly on the ball. I believe her hard work had much to do with the successful sale.
Rather than have your home sitting in a shop window for years, MQ Estate Agents pulled out all the stops. Here, you knew you really had someone working on your behalf.
I just thought “that’s the way to go!”
My house sold in just three weeks, so I’m a very happy customer.
You do pay a wee bit more with MQ Estate Agents but, believe me, it’s worth it.
I recommended them to my friend and she’s using them too to sell her house. In fact. I’m telling all my family how great they are!”
"To be honest, I had never heard of MQ Estate Agents before. But then I’d never sold a house before.
It was my son who insisted I give the firm a try. Then I heard their advert on the radio and I thought “Why not?”
I am so glad I did.
The service I got was absolutely fantastic. I would fire questions off to Lesley and she’d come back in a flash with the answers. Richard, who came to see me, was brilliant as well.
I had been worried my house would stick on the market – but I was gobsmacked to see it sell so quickly.
How can I sum up how I feel about MQ Estate Agents? How about A1, 10 out of 10. Over the moon."
Ann Devlin, former owner of a four-in-a-block flat in Glasgow.
“The difference between my previous estate agents and MQ Estate Agents was night and day.
MQ Estate Agents’s whole approach to selling my property was completely different.
My two-bedroom flat in Castlemilk had been on the books of the other company for nine months.
Within five days of switching to MQ Estate Agents, I had someone who wanted to view my property. And two days later, it was sold.
It turned out the photographs on the MQ Estate Agents website were key to the sale going through.
The pictures my previous estate agent took of my home were rubbish – they used a cheap digital camera and I hardly recognised my flat.
But MQ Estate Agents’s pictures were amazing and the girl who bought my property said they had really impressed her.
It came as a huge relief because we were getting stressed that the house wasn’t moving under the previous company.
MQ Estate Agents are excellent.”
Sandra Martin, Glasgow
“The cottage I was selling in Dunfermline was pretty unique, a combination of two old farm cottages going back about 160 years.
I was worried a lot of people might not want the maintenance involved in an old house, particularly with the level of new homes being built nearby.
But Richard from Move Quick came out and liked what he saw. At first, I wanted to sell it directly to MQ Estate Agents but Richard suggested I’d get more if I went through their bespoke estate agency.
I couldn’t believe the number of viewers we attracted very quickly – 12 in the first three days.
Every time someone came to see the house, Lesley was on the phone to give me feedback.
In the end, the cottage attracted a lot of interest and was sold at a closing date. It was just a month after it had gone on the market and I was delighted with the figure I got for it.
MQ Estate Agents’s service was excellent and I would describe myself as very happy with the way things went.”
John Paterson, Chattan Cottage, Dunfermline, Fife.
I had to sell my house quickly. Talking to MQ Estate Agents, I felt a big weight being lifted from my shoulders.
The night after I signed up with them was the first night’s sleep I’d had in weeks.
Barry was thoroughly professional and put me at my ease. He told me he would sell my house quickly and he was true to his word.
The house went on the market on the Friday afternoon – and it was sold by 5pm on Monday!
I also managed to get my target price, just the right figure to clear my feet and pay my legal fees.
I could not put into words what I feel about this company. They were the perfect partner for me and they’ve provided me with complete peace of mind.
Billy Shearer, Alloa.
I spoke to a number of estate agents before settling on MQ Estate Agents.
My son and I were in a three-bedroom mid-terrace house and we just fancied a wee change.
Stuart came out to the house and we spoke for ages. I had so many questions but he was happy to spend time answering them all.
I couldn’t believe it when they managed to sell the house in nine days – and I was absolutely delighted with the price I got.
I’ve been handing out MQ Estate Agents’s cards to people I work with.
And my sister is so keen, she’s speaking to them about selling her house as well!
The company were so professional, they have even helped me buy my new home. I’d recommend them to anyone.”
Sandra Boyd, Renfrew.
I didn’t have time to muck about when I was selling my home – my girlfiend is pregnant and we needed a bigger place. There are loads of flats for sale near me and the guy above us had been trying to find a buyer for a year.
Richard gave me some sales advice I did not agree with. I am quite a skeptical person and don’t really trust estate agents.
But Richard said:”Trust me, this is what we do.”
So I did trust him…..and our 1 bedroom flat in Langside was sold in 10 days.
I am delighted with the service we got and the figure I achieved for the flat.
In a few weeks, we’re moving into our new place. And the baby’s due in July.
Frank Brown, Glasgow
I was so impressed with MQ Estate Agents’s service – I’ve used them twice! First, they helped me sell my home in Fife in 2011.
Now, after suffering ill health and being unable to work any more, they have helped me sell my terraced cottage in Angus.
My partner and I are moving to Turkey, hoping for much better weather and an easier lifestyle.
MQ Estate Agents responded day and night to any of my queries. Their rapid service did away with months of hanging on, hoping to get a wee bit more for the property.
They were very honest and up-front every step of the way. I’ll recommend them to anyone.
Alex Cannon, Fife.
We wanted to move but knew that the climate in the house-buying market was against us. Two houses in our street had been up for sale for two years so we were not too hopeful.
I am a taxi driver and I heard MQ Estate Agents’s advert on Smooth Radio, so I decided to give them a try.
I was really surprised – and delighted – that our house sold in just 10 days. I know they’re called MQ Estate Agents but I didn’t think things would move that quick!
We had plenty of viewers through the door and soon someone put in an offer.
On top of that, someone who came to view our house actually bought one of the two on our street that had been on the market for years – I should have got commission!
Excellent service from MQ Estate Agents.
James Menzies, Airdrie.
Because of the state of the housing market, we had despaired of selling mum's house after dad passed away.
We tried other estate agents but it all seemed too much like hard work and for them it was merely another property on their already-flooded books. Barry assured me the process would be painless and the house would sell quickly, with a minimum of fuss. True to his word, Barry & his staff were well organised, friendly, helpful and kept us up-to-date with the situation in an efficient but unobtrusive manner.
And to our delight the house was only on the market 24 hours before Barry found our first and only viewer. The house sale was completed within 3 weeks and the bonus is that MQ Estate Agents fees are nowhere near as outrageous as other more well-known companies.
Fast, friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with.
I have no hesitation in recommending MQ Estate Agents for all your property needs.
Jane Hamilton, Edinburgh.
We had been trying to sell our house for almost nine months – with only a couple of viewers through the door.
Barry from MQ Estate Agents advised us on a new marketing strategy and soon we had a string of people wanting to look at it. Honestly, it was like a bus queue!
Within a week, the property was sold and now we’re heading off to Spain for a holiday.
If it was not for Barry’s advice, we would still be sitting in our old house. I’m delighted.
Chrissie Hynes, Cumbernauld.
Talk about MQ Estate Agents – my house was sold within 24 hours!
I had been scanning the Internet, putting in terms like “MQ Estate Agents” and the site came up.
It was important to me that it was a Scottish company.
Some of the houses on our street have lain unsold for up to 18 months. We didn’t want that.
On the day our house went on sale, MQ Estate Agents arranged a viewer at 12.30pm and the people put in an offer the next morning.
We were delighted – it lets us move on with our life. MQ Estate Agents – I’d say it does what it says on the tin!
Colin Malcolm, 55 (Ex-owner of a 3-bed semi-detached in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire)
"Thank you for all you advice and help with our property.
We’re off to Tenerife now on holiday."
John Cameron M.B.E
"My mum is quite elderly and we wanted to take better care of her. We decided to sell her house and ours and buy a place where we could all live together.
I"f it was not for Move Quick, we simply could not have met the timescale laid down by the builder.
"There were other companies promising the same thing but not one of them came through with an offer, except MQ Estate Agents.
Barry stuck to his word from start to finish, taking all the stress away from us.
"Quite simply, if it was not for MQ Estate Agents we would not be in our new house today.
"I am delighted with the service we received. I can’t speak highly enough of Barry.
"We inherited my father's property and had it on the market for two months, when I decided to look for a company like MQ Estate Agents.
"Within four and a half weeks, the house sale was complete. This took a lot of the pressure away from us, as it looked like there was no way of selling the property otherwise."
Wendy and Stuart, Kilsyth
Thanks for a professional, efficient and friendly service.
MQ Estate Agents looked at the house sale from my perspective and never put me under any pressure whatsoever.
I would have no hesitation recommending the company to others.
Alastair Aitken, Leven, Fife.
The service we received from MQ Estate Agents was open, honest and very upfront.
We really liked the website – it gave us all the information we needed.
And everything was done to ensure the house sale was as easy and stress-free as possible. You have to give them credit for that.
Alex and Angela, Kilmarnock
I am moving because I just feel it’s time for a change. The service I received from MQ Estate Agents was simply first class.
The chap who visited me was a gentleman….and there’s not many of them left around!
He was there to answer any questions I had and took my personal circumstances into account. I have no hesitation in recommending MQ Estate Agents.
“We sat in our house for two years, unable to sell.
“But we got in touch with MQ Estate Agents and we were delighted when got the move we wanted.
“You could not fault the service we received – it was really friendly and very professional.”
Esther & Scott McHarg, Glasgow.

“The whole process was problem-free, courteous and very polite.”
Pat Mawhood, Rosyth, Fife.

“MQ Estate Agents were fast, friendly and a pleasure to deal with.”
Matthew Gormley, Rutherglen.
